It really doesn’t fit well imo. Maybe if you smoothed out the transitions between colors and turned the saturation down some? The black is also way too dark. To the point where you don’t see details on the lineart

It’s cute but I have some objections;
This base would look better as markings, honestly. Like red panda facial, red panda body, etc.
To make it a base, I think most on Lioden tend to be rather muted on the actual base, to make way for the markings. They need to fade together; they’re too stark with no transition to make it an actual base.
A cool concept, but not doing so well

I think the transition between the black and red should be even smoother, maybe some red ticking down into the black fur? Something to make it look like they mix rather than cut off so harshly. I like the direction you're taking the colors though. Less saturated was definitely better.

It’s a cool idea, and could work similarly to the jacana base. It’s similar to your red panda base in terms of stark coloration, but still contains transitions between the white and brown.

TabbyBri I'm back again, wanted to say the first design is lovely and although I am biased because I love red panda bears lol
As of now I do enjoy looking at version 3 out of all of them, it makes the white stand out all the more and doesn't feel like a black void of nothingness where its legs should be, love the design can't wait to see any new improvements!
