Since double mutations is rejected, I decided what about just make a whole new mutation that is basically combining blind and deaf together?

No, I don't mean double mutations, I mean one whole new mutation, "blind and deaf"

So basically they look as a blind lion and does act like a deaf lion!

A solution to this?

No support: it sounds interesting, but it doesn't add much to the game other than appearances from what you described other than another probably lethal mutation. Maybe it'd be worth it to use a cloudy eyes applicator (I think that's what it's called) or scars (thanks for pointing that out! i wasn't thinking about those) on a deaf lion to imitate this idea?

There are blind eye scars that could be used too. Cheaper than an app probably and are functionally the same thing. It would also most definitely have to be a lethal.

Maybe as a adol lethal? Lions use both sight and hearing to live, maybe after a lion leaves the care of a broodmother, they'd easily be attacked by competitors and such and would be eaten as a result? Maybe they'd have to survive with a broodmother to be assigned to them at all times?

This isn't supposed to come off as ableist so I'm sorry if I came off as such

It's not ableist to say a blind and deaf lion would probably die.

I just don't think it'd make it long, period. If lions are like domestic cats, they use body language most prominently to communicate. Can't see that. Since these lions are able to talk, they could communicate like that too.... but they can't hear that. They live in a sort of sensory bubble. Smells are important too but a lion without two of its most key senses can't really utilize it.

Humans and domestic pets who are blind and deaf are able to thrive, but they're not wild animals who have to dodge danger from existing every day. I don't think a broodmother who has almost zero way of communicating would be able to help much. Lion sign language almost definitely isn't being considered when mutations are mostly meant to be realistic.

It would probably die as a cub, and would have most use as a trophy. But I'd really rather them work on more physically unique mutations.

I think they'd work more as an adol lethal, however;

We have literally NO adol lethals, I want diabetes being an adol lethal, but at the moment, there's none.

Plus Protective broodmothers and mothers could care for the cub and keep the cub safe until adolescence, where it would be harder for them to survive the constant threats of the savannah.

to me its a double mutation still. Unless you can make this mutation compeltely unique then no support. And as of right now it isnt.

And if you can make it unique it would have to be a lthal

It's unique -- It's an adolescent lethal, not an adult lethal.

I dont agree with that. it wouldnt survive to adolescent years. I dont support for this being an adolescent mutation.

Plus, If it had to be visually different, them I'd make the eyes have a milky white pupil. If not for that being unique enough, a light blue eye color.

I'd do a pose difference too, though I don't know how to come up with a pose.

Thats not enough to be unique. Regular blind already has that.

Just a pose for me isnt unique enough. Unless they do double mutations I dont think this mutation will be unique at all.

Regular blind is an adol lethal? /genuine /question

Uniqueness can come in any shapes and sizes, it's still possible for a new mut to be unique.

I propose many ways to make this unique as possible; they have a posing exclusive to them and them only? They'd have different flavor texts? They have different flavor texts when they die?? Different eye color? Maybe even drop a eye app or any app/decor that's exclusive to them only once they die?

you could really just get a deaf lion and give it the blind scar decor and roleplay it as functionally the same thing. there's very little way it could survive long enough to be an adol in the wild, and it doesn't feel special enough to warrant a new pose.

I beleive it is blind or deaf where they have a chance to become adult before they die, but either way i defiantely dont support if they are adol lethal.

If they are regular lethal then I doubt they would be able to make it unique enough. Just a pose isnt enough for me. I highly disagere to makeing eye colors or applicators unique to them.

EDIT: agree with leon

This mut could drop a decor or app once they die, making it not like normal deaf with blind eyes.
