What gameplay feature is this bug affecting?
Raffles

What's the issue? Please include any error messages you receive and as much detail as possible.
This is the text beneath the title of a raffle:

This raffle will automatically end on 2023-XX-XX 00:00:00.
The host may still choose to finish the raffle earlier than this.

(I replaced the date with Xs intentionally)

The wording is absolutely wrong. The raffle will not automatically end on the given date, the raffle will automatically cancel on the given date. There's a big difference. Imagine my surprise when I started a raffle, expected it to complete on the given expiration, and it automatically cancelled instead. I know now that you need to manually click the button but that is not apparent given the wording of the text. I had enough unique participants and the option to run the raffle manually was given to me, but I didn't click the button because I wanted to give everyone a chance to participate that wanted to and now I'm stuck with the raffle prize I didn't want. And now I have to re-run it.

I understand why a raffle cancels instead of runs, in hindsight, (for example, a player hosts a raffle and then life prevents them from checking on their raffle and if it finishes with few participants, they could be out a huge financial loss), but the wording of the text isn't correct in stating what exactly happens at the given time/date.

I suggest this as a substitution:

This raffle will automatically cancel on 2023-XX-XX 00:00:00 and must be manually finished by the host before the chosen time and date to complete.
The host may still choose to finish the raffle earlier than this.

This would alleviate future confusion by new players and be more concise about what the given date means.

Any links relating to this bug? For example, if a particular lion is bugging, what is the link to that lion?

Any screenshots you can provide us with?

Please provide us with step by step explanation how this bug happened so we can attempt to replicate it. If it's complex, please include screenshots where possible:
It's not a bug per se, but very confusing wording. I have provided a solution above, but feel free to not use it and instead create another one of your own convention that complies more efficiently with Lioden rules and regulations. However, I firmly believe the wording absolutely needs changed to reduce further confusion.

A raffle will only be cancelled if it:
* contained food that rotted
* held a lion that ran away/died/otherwise became unavailable
* didn't have enough unique participants

In your case, your raffle only had 3 unique participants and the minimum was 5 (all raffles require a minimum of 5, with raffles containing more than 5 prizes requiring as many unique participants as there are prizes).

Otherwise, a raffle will automatically award prizes on that given date unless manually cancelled or finished beforehand.

I hope this clarifies the issue!

Well, if you can see the number involved, I'm not going to doubt you. I can promise you I saw, or at least thought I saw, the button to run the raffle yesterday. I don't remember how many users were involved, but I thought I saw the button pop up to optionally conduct the raffle early. Now, I don't do drugs or drink, so the odds of me hallucinating an optional button are slim, but I am 6 months pregnant so I guess I can blame it on my unborn child and lack of sleep. I almost clicked the button to run it early, but decided to wait and let it complete itself since the deadline was nearing anyway. It was my first raffle and obviously I don't know exactly how things are done, as I'm still trying to figure out the complexities of this game.

I apologize for the waste of time and the misunderstanding then. I guess I was wrong. Perhaps a reason behind the generic "raffle cancelled" email could be helpful? I just saw my raffle was cancelled and obviously I was very confused as to why and the only thing I could deduce was because I didn't click the button I swear I saw was there. I'm not sure how hard it would be to code the system to specifically state the reasons behind an automatic cancellation (for example, food expired which caused the raffle to cancel so the system sends out the automated "raffle cancelled" message along with reason why - raffle cancelled, reason: food items expired) or at least just adding the three excluding reasons to the cancellation message and the host can deduce from the exclusions why their own raffle was cancelled. Just a thought.

I can promise you I thought saw that button however I'm not going to die on this hill because facts don't lie and you can literally look at the system. So I must be wrong. Again, sorry for wasting y'all's time.
