Intro

This is the project tracker for my currently-running Vagabond project. Veritae is my side's effective perma-king (she seems to shoot down any possibility of me replacing her). I purchased her initial iteration for 30 in July of 2023 and she has been torturing me ever since. You can see where she's currently at here. This project is run in conjunction with my main's Maziwa project

Veritae started as effectively a nRLC of the 9/23/22 Vagabond RL. I have been since progressively working towards making her more of her own entity, although I do still adore that line. I have divided this project into two phases: eyes/skin and marks. Each phase has its own section down below. As of 12/23/23, phase 1 is complete!

*Slot 8 and 9 are both BO marks but they are the wrong BO marks for that slot. I am unfortunately, too much of wuss to remove good BO marks. I need to move her Underfelt to slot 10 so that I can slide Lilac Quail Flecks into that slot. I am emotionally attached to that slot so yes Lilac Quail Flecks must be in slot 9

The goal of phase 1 was purely to copy and paste Veritae, but with Quail skin and Dunt eyes. This is the easiest step of the project given how entirely mindless it is. Just repeated breeding over and over to the same lions. Lots of inbreeding. So much. She was a bit cruel to me during this, taking over 4 months to give me a single Vagabond. But when she did, that cub had every single BO trait passed down to it. I was convinced that I was going to lose a mark or mane shape, but when Veritae listens, she listens well.

Fun fact, this cub was born immediately after rollover as I was half-asleep studying for an immunology final. Talk about something to wake you up!

The purpose of phase 2 is to get the rest of those marks onto Veritae. It will likely be broken into multiple steps and will be running for a very, very long time

1/26: Had my first girl with both slot 8 and 9 give birth today. Didn't get any passes of those slots, but I wasn't expecting to given that Veri has competing marks. More focused on slots 1 and 10 right now. But, I will officially mark this phase as started!

2/5: Slot 1 and 10 girl gave birth but only passed slot 10. I need both, girl

3/22: So I'm just chilling. minding my own business, passively breeding slots. I breed one of my slot 1 and 10 girls. I don't rock because the girl shares absolutely zero traits with Veri and she's very much a preliminary breeder and she's common so the odds of me even getting a base pass are-

3/23: Aged up lil miss Vagabond from yesterday. Buffy + Powders to try and breed a Celestial Speckles version of Veri. No dice, but two really nice breeders
