| Welcome to Endless Plains! | wiping your brow as you peer up at signboard swaying in the breeze, you sigh as you finally reach your destination. the rustic oak creaks on it's hinges as it swings open and a companionable silence greets you as you step through threshold. glancing around, you spot a solid wood counter, upon it is a litter of paperwork and personal items. it seems that the steward is out at the moment, perhaps they left something in preparation for your arrival? as you walk around the counter, you sweep your hand along it's grain, admiring the craftsmanship of it. in doing so, a small, inconspicuous card floats to the floor. as you bend down to pick it up, your attention is grabbed by the drawer just to the right, it looks like it was shut in haste. you shake your head, clearing your thoughts for a brief second, no matter, you can investigate it later. as your fingers grip the wayward card, you flip it over to read the fine script. "welcome weary traveler, apologies if i'm not back to greet you in time, an unexpected situation has called me away urgently. we, the townsfolk, hope you enjoy your stay here and find what your searching for. Gale, the old man who runs the supply store, should be able to help you get started in my absence. best wishes, traveler ps. check the right-most compartment!" your eyes widen as you reach down, hand already gripping the knob before you have processed the words. with a gentle tug, the drawer slides out revealing a; wide-brimmed hat, a pair of butter-smooth leather gloves, a rather heavy jacket and some sturdy hiking shoes exactly in your size. how kind.  1 player likes this post! @missy gale wishes you luck on finding a new area! - explore one: you and storm set out bright and early, trying to beat the incoming rain. as you walk the area you notice that the wind starts to pick up, it whistles as it rushes through the grass causing loose pieces to float up to greet you. feeling a bit dejected as nothing seems to be standing out to you, you sigh as a small scattering of light rain kisses your face. you hope your luck will start to turn soon. do you: >continue onwards, a little rain never hurt anyone >double back to look for shelter, hopefully it will pass quickly explore two: you and storm are back at the endless plains again, and have managed to retrace your steps back to where you saw that seagull. you decide to leave storm where he is so you can investigate easier. as you crouch down you notice that as you get closer to the border, the ground definitely gets more sandy. interesting. do you: >take storm and try to cross the border >have a look around, maybe storm's band is around here still? explore three: the midday sun beats down on you both as you start another trek into the endless plains, you and storm have stumbled on a path that drops you both on the other-side of the plains. as you gaze at the land trying to map out a plan, you take note that the plains look infinitely more endless than before. do you: >try to pick your way across to the rest of the plains >go back to a familiar trail 0 players like this post! Explore one She looks up at the sky feeling the rain drops look back at storm a gentle smile on her face seeming to ask you good for the rain before continue on. @missy explore one: you look to storm, who seems to be feeling good enough to continue on, feeling emboldened you both set off braving storm's namesake. you both try to keep out of the rain as much as possible by staying under any shelter you find on your way and it doesnt take long until you spot a horse. it seems this one was trying to find a way out of the rain. do you: >try to approach it >leave it be explore two: you successfully make a easy access point for yourself and storm. excited, storm boldly trots into the unknown only to pop out the other end on a sea of sand. the dunes stretch on in every direction as far as the eye can see, theres a notable scent of sea salt in the air and the as you slowly cross, the sound of waves crashing against the shore increases. on one hand, you can go for a spontaneous beach trip and on the other, you can head deeper into the dunes, who knows what else is out there. do you: >continue towards the water >go deeper explore three: it takes a bit of effort but you and storm eventually reach the vast expanse of land, occasionally stopping to take in the sights. it seems like the plains are more alive than ever as more wildlife than you can count are following their normal routine. you and storm have to carefully sidestep burrows and holes, until something glints from inside one of them. do you: >carefully peer inside, is someone still home? > keep on moving, you have places to be and things to see 0 players like this post! @missy, its all good! rping isn't required so dont stress if you feel like you cant come up with anything! - explore one: you decide to approach the horse, as you get closer you notice its shivering from the cold, poor thing. with this in mind, you edge closer hoping that it will be more receptive to coming back home with you. its ears flick towards you and storm but seems happy to let you approach. do you: >hold out a hand for it to smell you >stroke its neck >just stand there explore two: as you walk closer to the water, you admire the sparkle of the crystal clear water. from close to shore you can only make out a few of the organisms inhabiting this area but you're willing to bet that further out is a jaw dropping bloom of coral and tropical fish. towards one end of the beach is a small collection of rock-pools, bound to be filled with life. just as you're about to head towards them you notice a trail of hoof-prints in the sand. do you: >follow the trail >keep walking to the rock-pools >explore the beach more explore three: to your surprise, the burrow appears to be empty of its inhabitants. cautiously, you stick your hand inside, only closing your fist when you feel something nudge against your palm. you take care to gently remove the object from it place in the hollow space and bring it closer to your face to examine. huh, it looks like a knotted piece of grass. congratulations! you have found a knotted grass token, this is a one time use item that allows for a breeding to safely have twins! 0 players like this post! @missy explore one: the horse pauses for a moment before stepping into the warmth of your hand. seems like it is desperate to get out of this weather! congratulations! you've befriended this horse!  name: gender: stallion age: 6 years (30 ROs) phenotype: bay minimal sabino genotype: Ee AA SB1/N personality: this horse tends to be indifferent about people but will reconsider when in need. this horse tends to be level headed. explore two: you completely forget about the rock-pools in your excitement about finding evidence of a horse. you follow carefully, keeping an eye or an ear out. it takes a bit of walking but eventually you see a dark shape stand out from the golden sand in the distance, as you get closer to investigate the shape it turns out to be a horse. do you: >get closer >call out to it >stay where you are 0 players like this post! @missy jasper's name has been noted! - you creep closer keeping your approach relatively quite, until you slip in the sand and stumble. you hold your breath as you look up, hoping the horse hasnt spooked and run off. to your surprise the horse is exactly where you last saw it, instead, if horses could speak, you think it might've laughed at you. pushing yourself to your feet, you brush off the sand clinging to your clothes and keep moving. the horse stands still upon your approach, its demeanor curious. do you: >reach out to it >let it come to you 0 players like this post! @missy the horse walks away a few strides to see what you'll do. puzzled, it turns to look back at you to see if you're following. it waits for a bit before snorting and pawing at the ground impatiently. storm seems to get an idea and trots off after it, the other horse tosses it head and moves on again. they continue like this for the better part of thirty minutes, playing around before both come back to you tired and happy. congratulations! you have befriended this horse and unlocked a new zone!  name: gender: mare age: 8 years (40 ROs) phenotype: silver dapple smokey black genotype: EE aa Crcr Zz personality: this mare tends to be carefree and enjoys a challenge, she's all work hard play hard. 0 players like this post!
