With the lead huntress role running in her blood, this rather strange, sinister and focussed cub is the future of the hunting parties and their successes.
At a young age she proves ruthless and is also trained ruthlessly by her mother, who didn't want to waste her only breeding. Igazi feels a strange kind of affection for her daughter and will only leave her with Hananne when she is off all day hunting.
The 'endearing' nickname for her daughter sticks - my little demon, Igazi calls her in a twisted, affectionate way.
When she isn't hunting she tells tales to her little one of hunts and ancestors, and is the only lion in the pride she feels affection for. She would fight to the death for her Jinni, and the fierce pride and bloodlust is passed down.
Igazi would never admit such but Jinni reminds her so much of her own mother, who she has pushed to the back of her mind. Tales are occasionally told of Amni too, when Igazi feels up to it. These are the most emotional stories of all, and Jinni listens with interest and admiration to the tales of her grandmother, who she never met. These are her favourite stories.
At just over two years old her mother reluctantly hands her the lead position, although she still oversees her daughter's progress. Not that she needs it - not as brutal in her ways as her mother, but still a bit strange and unorthodox, JinnI relishes the challenges it throws at her and takes her mother's place with a great deal of pride.
Upon the birth of her two tailed daughter Jinni isn't quite sure what to make of motherhood. It doesn't soften her and neither do Isokans pleas to move them both into the royal den so he can watch his daughter grow. Even he knows better than to push Jinni too far.
"She will stay with me and train," she growls at him while nursing little Lula. "She is big and strong, with your Primal blood and my huntress heritage she will make a fine huntress!" Isokan says nothing, but still, wishes to be a part of her life as he is with Sabi, and Jinni reluctantly concedes that she will benefit from her father's company. "Don't be soft though," she snarls. "Yahlula must learn well from us both."
As Lula matures she learns to treat her mother with respectful indifference and keeps her distance as much as possible. This suits Jinni fine. To her Lula is just another huntress to train, and although she is proud of her daughter's progress, it hasn't made her any more maternal.
She is very much the same when she births another daughter, although she sees much more potential in Eshu and doesn't attempt to hide the fact that she much prefers her younger daughter.
Jinni almost becomes unbearable when her and the kings as yet unnamed daughter is blessed by the Shaman as the heir to the ruling position once she is old enough. She roars with pride - not only is she mother to the future lead huntress, but to the future queen!
She actually agrees to share parenting responsibilities with Isokan, and he is secretly relieved, although he puts on a stern exterior.
At the birth of her first grandcub she tries hard to stay firm but fails, and is often seen being a bad influence on Agha! This doesn't help the cubs mischievous nature and Jinni gleefully exacerbates and encourages her in her endeavours. This could be with bedtime stories, trips to the hunting ground, or tussling with the youngster. Agha adores her grandmother!
