Yuki was a member of a small group of prideless lionesses that were looking for a new home. She joined this group as a cub, when her own pride abandoned her because of her albinism. It was just too dangerous to keep such a cub in the pride... It won't be useful anyway.
Yuki's new pride didn't mind her condition. They just needed to teach her what she can and what she can't do, easy. In the end, Yuki managed to learn how to live with her mutation. But it wasn't easy... She hated how other lionesses could just go everywhere and anytime they wanted, without worrying about burns, while Yuki had to hide in the shadows. Dry seasons were the hardest for her...
When her group found Anza's pride, they almost immediately decided to join it. Anza was more than glad to let them!
Before the group joined the pride they were living together, but every member cared for herself. In a pride, they had to learn to work with others, as a one, big family. Yuki was alright with that.
When she first joined a hunting party, everyone looked sceptical. She assured them that she was a good huntress and wouldn't cause trouble, so they let her go with them. Unfortunately, the zebra that the lionesses were hunting spotted Yuki's white fur and tried to escape. Clover tried to stop her, but the zebra trampled on her, breaking one of the her paws.
No one said it out loud, but everyone thought that it was Yuki's fault. After that, Anza forbade her to hunt.
Yuki wanted to prove to the pride that she could be a good hunter anyway, so she decided to hunt in secret. She left The Den quietly, when everyone else were busy with their duties. It didn't end well... Yuki got sunburned badly and because of the pain she wasn't fast enough to hunt anything.
She came back to The Den hurt, tired and angry. When Anza found out about her little adventure he decided to make her the herbalist's student. Yuki liked Peach, the herbalist, but she didn't want to be like her! She wanted to hunt, fight, and just be like any other lioness. She tried to talk to Anza, make him change his mind, but he ignored her. Yuki eventually accepted her new job, but she never liked it. She hates it.
She hates Anza for not giving her another chance.
If he wants her to work with plants so much, then she will.
Yuki hopes to find a special plant for the king... A plant that will make him suffer... A plant that will end him... A plant that will show him what a big mistake he made...
Soon some cubs started to disappear in unknown ways... Only Yuki knows what really happens to them.
Cubs are the best testers of poisonous plants... They never question why they have to eat some weird leaf, and when they die, no one is suspicious. Sometimes cubs are dying, it's normal.
No one suspects that Nyx's, Dawn's, or Lotus' cubs died because of Yuki's actions.
She had to change her ways a little when the pride realized that too many cubs were dying and gave the nursery extra protection. Now Yuki gave poison to the cubs when she was examining them once a week.
Everything started to fall apart when a young lioness, Maple , suddenly wanted to become the herbalist's apprentice... She liked to watch Yuki work. She watched reaaaaly closely... Yuki was sure that this nosy cub was suspecting something. That was an issue... Because of that, Yuki had to stop. At least for a while... Until she'll get rid of Maple.

After some time Maple stopped watching Yuki so closely, so the herbalist was finally able to continue her plan. This time she was way more careful. She poisoned cubs very rarely, and she chose only ones that already seemed pretty weak.
In the end, she finally found it. The perfect plant. It was known as Boophone Herb. In small doses it wasn't that dangerous, it could even be useful. But larger portions could be deadly. Maybe it wasn't really what Yuki was looking for, because the boophone herb wouldn't really make Anza suffer, but it was good enough. She spent too much time on searching for this stupid weed anyway.
Before giving the herb to Anza, Yuki had to give it to some other adult lion around Anza's age. She chose Stride to be her victim. She was already pretty old, and many lionesses were already dead at her age, so she was perfect.
Yuki fed Stride the boophone herb along other plants that she ate regularly.
As expected, Stride passed away.
Now all Yuki needed was the perfect opportunity...
Soon, the king's health deteriorated due to his age. The herbalists brought him herbs every day. When it was Yuki's turn, she was finally able to carry out her plan. She gave Anza poison instead of medicine, causing the King to die soon after.
To Yuki's surprise, Anza's death didn't satisfy her. She realized how much time she wasted trying to end him. She could just accept his decision and live her life as a herbalist, but she chose revenge... She ended so many little lifes, she made so many lionesses grieve after their cubs... The guilt crushed her. She was paranoid that someone would discover her crimes. She decided to spend the rest of her life as a good herbalist, loyal to her new king and pridemates.

After Peach's death Yuki took her place in The Council Of Elders and as the pride's main herbalist. She didn't expect to feel it, but she actually missed Peach. She spent most of her life with her mentor after all, she was like an older sister for her... Yuki hoped that Peach would forgive her for her sins, even though she knew they were unforgivable.

Yuki, ironically, died of food poisoning. After her death, she was not allowed to enter heaven, and instead was cursed to roam the earth as a powerless spirit, always followed by visions of cubs that she killed. Yuki humbly accepted her fate with the hope that she might one day be able to redeem herself.

At noon, you saw 𝐘𝐮𝐤𝐢 sleeping in the shade of a tree, out of the sun. You realized that the midday sun is harsh on her pale eyes..

As you pass by, 𝐘𝐮𝐤𝐢 glares at you intently until you are fully out of her sight. You still feel uneasy a while afterwards.
