Born in the Hollows of Chaos, the homeland of the Chaotic Empire, Thorin was believed to be a great asset to the emperor and his conquest due to his mutation. He proved to be a deadly asset, especially when he joined the Chaotic Web, the spy division of the army. He was sent on a lone mission when he was barely an adolescent to the Silent Desert, known for its horrible groups of lions known as Reapers who did unspeakable things to those found in their sands. Thorin managed to earn their trust and respect, establishing the first ally of the Chaotic Empire. He joined his sister's spy group called the Swift Spiders, and aided the empire's conquest by infiltrating prides with the group and overthrowing the rulers. Eventually, his sister accepted the mission to bring back the emperor's mate and daughters, which eventually succeeded in the southwest of the Vast Lands.
Thorin first met Princess Aurora and guarded her at the Hollow Palace in the empire's homeland. He learned a bit about Aurora during his time as her guard, though he knew his comrade and friend, Nikias, was interested in her, so he maintained a professional relationship with her. Thorin accompanied Aurora to the newly named Valley of Chaos, the emperor's new palace fortress location. There, he was slightly perturbed to meet her sister Iben, who was drastically different than the calculating spitfire of a princess. Iben was like sunlight: bright, warm, and impossible to keep contained. Her bubbly and friendly nature eventually got to the large grump, and he asked the emperor to court her when it became clear she would not be named an Heir Apparent. The emperor agreed, pleased for one of his best spies to settle with his daughter who took after her mother.
