ABOUT PRIDE
To the far southwest of the Vast Lands Continent is a peaceful valley known as Providence. Guarded by high mountains on all sides, the valley was once a restful territory for travelers and those in need of some relaxation and healing. But some of these lions grew greedy and bloodshed descended upon the prosperous land. The remaining survivors named themselves the Leos, the gods who would watch over this magical land and keep it safe from bloodthirst.

Eventually, a pride guided by the Leos was founded in the territory. The first king, Arslan, came from a continent far away, eager for a place of peace and healing. Arslan’s heir became known as Gilgamesh, as all future kings would hold the title of the true king chosen by Leos. Of course, the pride’s first queen chosen by Leos altered this, named Ishtar, who brought more peace and attempted to bring the pride out of their isolation ideology. Unfortunately, the queen was overthrown by a vicious and power-hungry male named Ur, who had found a way to combine the valley’s magic with demon magic, creating his own magic known as nytox. Renamed ENKIDU, the usurper brought on a reign of tyranny and fear in the valley along with his mate and queen, ESFIR, who was known as the Goddess of Dreams.

The Leos, fearful of this tyrant turning the pride into the days of their past, chose the sole surviving cub of ESFIR’s power in the Valley of the Stars, a place where the pride’s Eternals resided and held on to their strong connection to the gods. This cub, ELLIL, was raised by KONESANS, the Goddess of Wisdom, Knowledge, and Power in the tyrant’s dynasty. ELLIL soon overthrew ENKIDU and exiled ESFIR, bringing peace once again to the valley. They were dubbed ELLIL THE ETERNAL, chosen to rule over the pride forever.

But ELLIL’s fortune did not last. ESFIR used countless measures to exact her revenge on the ruler and the pride. After the death of their first queen, ELLIL’s chosen for their second queen turned out to be a traitor, who tried to incite a civil war in the pride thanks to ESFIR’s ability to walk and whisper in dreams. ELLIL’s defeat of this lioness prompted them to lick their wounds by leaving the valley to wander, and they in turn found their first love and second queen, TESNI. While this new queen brought great joy to the pride, it would not last, for she was destined to be sacrificed in her homeland to a demon deity. Worse, the king of this pride- her father- also worked with ESFIR to kill the providence pride, leaving ELLIL to return with their dying mate to a bloodbath of their friends and family.

The sole survivor was their grandcub, NURAY, and a Leo chose to descend into the valley to help ELLIL rebuild the pride. This Leo, LUGALBANDA, invited a broodmother named GRY into the valley to help raise the many cubs the god had picked up to bring ELLIL comfort. GRY had been a concubine for the worst bloodthirsty lion of all, Emperor HAIDAR the Conqueror. His pride, the Chaotic Empire, stretched across the Vast Lands and continued to conquer new lands. GRY was assured by ELLIL and LUGALBANDA that the emperor could not invade the valley, for it was protected by the Leos and the land’s magic.

They were proved wrong, for HAIDAR had been searching for his lost mate since she ran away with their daughters. In exchange for ridding the valley of ESFIR and ENKIDU, the emperor took over the pride and rebuilt his palace in the valley, renaming it Chaos Valley. After imprisoning the evil gods in the Eternal Prison, HAIDAR announced the Heir Wars, the bloody competition for his possible heirs. The emperor lost his beloved queen near the end of this contest. The least likely heir, Izotz, used this distraction and claimed the throne for himself.

Now, 𝕰𝖒𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖔𝖗 𝕴𝖟𝖔𝖙𝖟 has made the valley a blend of old and new. The Chaos Valley is a bustling hub for those who wish for a relaxing time. What more will the new emperor bring to this valley?
