Thelathini

Thelathini, commonly called ‘Lath’, is Rego’s son with Mhuni, the middle child in a litter of three. His name means ‘thirty’.

Thelathini never felt the urge to leave home that most young males feel. He likes pride life, he’s an incredibly social boy, and enjoys looking after his pridemates. Lath has always been curious about Anele’s job as the pride’s healer, and asked her to teach him a thing or two. Anele, grumpily, agreed, and was astonished with how quickly Lath picked up herblore. Honestly, if he were younger she’d take him on as her apprentice in a heartbeat. But, they’re only a few years apart in age, so he isn’t suitable for her apprentice; she needs someone who will outlive her.

Thelathini instead becomes the apprentice of Pili, the Hidden Valley Shaman. Pili is a much older lion, and is delighted to train young Lath to follow in his pawprints. Pili is the brother of Thelathini’s father, Rego, and uncle and nephew are very alike. The Hidden Valley Pride breathes a sigh of relief to see the shaman choose a successor, and Lath finds he loves his new pride just as much as he loves his old one. He knows he chose the right path.

~You settled in for the night to sleep, but then you felt something trembling next to you. You find Thelathini, looking scared. You pull them close with your paws and let them snuggle until you both are asleep.

~You go to get a drink of water and find Thelathini holding still, using his shadow to attract fish for easy catching. Nice. 3x

~A flock of tiny birds are playing and pouncing all over Thelathini. He is just remaining where he is, humming softly and letting them go at it.

~You were feeling a bit annoyed about being beaten in a fight, but Thelathini cheerfully assured you that you will always have the chance to try again!
