Suluhu

Suluhu means ‘solution’ or ‘truce’. His mother gave him a peaceful name because he resembles the exiled prince Yowë, who was anything but peaceful. Luckily, Suluhu is nothing like Yowë.

As an adult, Suluhu is an excellent guard, with a gift for strategy. He is sent to the Kalahari Pride in exchange for Prince Shauku, who wants to move to the Hidden Valley Pride to be with his husband, Iliyopambwa. Suluhu thrives in the larger Kalahari Pride, and becomes close friends with Crown Prince Kanu. When his brother Kesho comes of age, Suluhu welcomes him into the Kalahari Pride too.

The two brothers don’t get to patrol together for very long, for Suluhu’s mother requests he return to the Hidden Valley Pride. Their Royal Guard lacked younger members, with 2/4 of its number approaching retirement. Suluhu returns home immediately, secure in the knowledge that Kesho will fulfill his role in the Kalahari Guard.

~Grandpaw Wema pulls Suluhu aside to berate them after they misbehaved. You catch bits and pieces of what he says, including "back in my day" and "my mother would have skinned me for that". Never change, old man. 4x

~Suluhu prances about with their Grandpaw, head held high. Old Grandpaw Wema is telling everyone how great Suluhu is, and what a fantastic pride member they'll be when they grow up. 2x

~Suluhu prances over to Grandpaw Wema with a small rat in their jaws. Grandpaw Wema proudly declares Suluhu the best hunter in the pride, and his absolute favourite grandcub. 5x

~When you approached him, Suluhu licked your ear to welcome you today. 2x

~Suluhu says: Hss chufftly whisker mrowl.
