Shiro

Shiro is the son of Serenity and Matūmaini, beloved since birth. He inherited his mother’s eyes and his father’s beautiful white coat, in many ways he is a perfect mix of his parents. Since he is not the son of the Queen, Shiro is not in line for the throne. Nevertheless, he loves his home and his pride, and wants to do his part to defend it, and so asks his father if he may stay on as a guard when he is grown. Matū is very proud of him, and of course gives him the position he wants.

Shiro is a confident and chivalrous lion, he is an exemplary guard, and is a favorite ‘uncle’ to many cubs in the pride. When he is seven, his father passes the throne to Isiyo, his son and heir, Shiro’s younger brother. Isiyo’s first act is to name Shiro as his Captain of the Guard, and his eldest brother Jareth as his Royal Advisor. Isiyo is quite young, and wants his brothers beside him, to help him be the best king he can be for their family’s kingdom. Both brothers accept the new positions proudly, and the three tackle important decisions together, a triad of wisdom and grace.

~You bring a grasshopper to Shiro, and they are delighted. You relax and watch them pounce after it, until they finally manage to catch it and munch it. Good cub!

~You were feeling a little bit of anxiety over the rumor that the hyenas would attack soon. Shiro sat next to you, however, and told you that he would proudly stand by your side no matter what happens. 2x
