King Raji of the Silent Heights
High in the cradle of cloud-wrapped stone,
Where light falters and the wild winds moan,
There walks a lion the color of ash,
His coat marbled white like snowdrift and flash.
He moves like smoke, without sound or sign,
A sovereign shadow beyond the pine.
The others call him ghost, spirit, wraith—
A phantom born of some older faith.
They speak his name in half-held breath:
"Rajj—he brings silence, he walks with death."
Eyes like dusk, and a stare so still,
Even the jackals fear his will.
Mystery clings to him like the cold;
The mountains whisper of truths untold.
No pride claims him, no mate nor kin,
Just snow, and stone, and the world within.
And yet—beneath the myth, the dread,
Beneath the tales the frightened spread,
Dwells something gentler, hard to see—
A soul untouched by cruelty.
I found him once by a fractured tree,
Cradling a fawn with careful glee.
No growl, no snarl—just patient grace,
As warmth lit slowly across his face.
He led lost cubs from a flood-swollen stream,
He sang to the moon in a voice like a dream.
Not fierce, not cruel—but misunderstood,
A king not of terror, but quiet good.
The wild is harsh, and stories stray—
Fear writes legends its own way.
But climb the peaks, and you may find
A lion vast, yet deeply kind.
Rajj, the silent, the watchers' fear—
Is not what he seems when you draw near.
He is dusk and dawn, wind and stone—
A spirit, yes—of the gentle, alone.

King Rajj (the wise, snowy shadow, mystery of the ridge, king of snow) Moved Shadow Ridge Pride (formally known of the Pride of Serpents Pass) after the passing of the previous rular, Queen Zarina (The kind and flirting Queen of snakes, the shadowed coin, Queen of riches and fortune) died. They had previesly lived in a canyon, but he moved them to the cold and unforgiving Peaks of Shadow ridge mountains. Some lions left because they could not adjust to the cold, but the ones that remained grew stronger. Eventually the pride adapted to only consiste of dense furred lions with pelts of grey, black, and white to blend into the snow rocks and shadows. The Pride has many ally's, but has a bad reputation among strangers. Many think they are evil spirits that roam the mountains, but they are all friendly and, especially king Rajj. King Rajj has put many new traditions in the pride, such as elevating the royal family, introducing new ranks, and giving pets to the royal family. His own pet is a Axanthic Ball Python, he chose this snake to honor the previous Queen.
