He is a silly heir, only acting serious around King Darkstar. His name is silly, but Darkstar demands him take a better name when he is kinged. He is curious why the prince wasn't kinged, but the answer is always that he has more potential. He hates being serious, but shares the thirst for mutated and gorgeous lionesses and cubs that Darkstar has. And supports the killing of cubs without use. Urching to do it himself one day.
Even with his future consorts patches, and there beautiful patterns.... He seems to be looking in a different direction. The direction... Of Gaurd Locustspeck. He loves her, more then his thirst for mutated lionesses, he would give that up to make her his future queen! Would Darkstar ever let it happen? NOPE, but he would if he could. He loves her more then a deer would love grass, more then a duck would love water, and she shares those feelings.
So, when the king mated with her... HE WAS PISSED. Raging against the king, short tempered with everyone. Sobbing and confused. When they were born, they didn't have her coat, so there were no use for them! And he was quick to throw them out. Little did he know... One remained.
He was confused when Locustspeck returned with a cub, and angered. How could she want ANY cub other then the cubs he would have with her? How could she love a cub unrelated to her? It's ridiculous!
Sad that he hasn't been embraced by her for so long... He starts obsessing over her. Crying himself to sleep and finally going to her, begging for her love back and that he's sorry for everything. He's sorry for not accepting her bond with her Cubs, he's sorry for being so rash and not accepting Mocha, he just wanted her back. He didn't understand her bond and anger towards the fact that the king and him were so rash to the children, but he begged for forgiveness none the less. His face flashed with happiness as she accepted, but with... Terms? What could she want? He was dumbfounded at her words. Convincing the king to allow her as his main mate was hard enough! But Mocha as a future princess and his official child!?! He was hesitant, but accepted these terms. The king's wrath was difficult to avoid or even survive, but she was worth it. His face lit up with blush as she rubbed her head against his mane. He would do anything for her.
He sighed, he was angry that the king wasn't taking his demands seriously. So he demanded an audience with the king, and went to a secluded area. He snarled at the king and unsheathed his claws, saying rashly "If you don't meet my demands you might go sooner than 2 years!" He growled. The king had a blank expression...? What... He expected more fear, or... Something else. The king said "Have you forgotten why I'm king?" He started to shake in fear, and shook his head no desperately. The king said "I will make a COAT out of the fur you have left after I'm done with you, just like I did to that young king Canyonstar!" The king slashed his eye, he whimpered in pain. The king continued "NEVER INTERRUPT THE TIME I HAVE LEFT WITH MY QUEEN, OR I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET EVERY WORD YOU'VE SAID, Especially the words that made that little guard fall in love with you." He started to cry, he underestimated this king... He was so... Terrifying... Well, I guess he did have to wait 2 years till he got his mate back.
His dignity was at an all time low, ignoring most lions... But what really got him to break down, is that... The king bred with his love!? Again!?! Out of spite!?! He went to his mates side, tired, sad, and desperate to have her back... And said that he will meet her demands once he's king, and help her through this pregnancy... At least he could pretend the cubs were his own.
He was happy to finally be King, have his lover, living the life. But, the Queen was... Always a problem.
