 Start Here You are exploring; you've wandered far and wide, perhaps further and wider than ever before, and it's been days since you last had anything to eat or drink, days since you last slept, and even longer since you've seen another lion. This land is most barren of life, even the wind is scentless. In the distance, though, you see what appears to be treetops. You are ignited with hope, and hasten towards this beacon in the vast empty wastes. But as you draw nearer, an unsettled feeling settles on your heart; the treetops you'd seen at a distance are dark, gangly spires that reach up, as though trying to escape something. The place stinks of decay, a scent that lingers in the air despite the absence of anything dead. Your hastened steps slow to a reluctant creep, and a dense fog settles around you, cloaking the ghastly trees just enough that they almost look like dark, terrifying creatures reaching out to grab you. Just as you consider turning back, a lovely voice reaches you through the mist. You nearly collapse with relief, but it is all too soon. "ᕼᙓᒪᒪO, ᖶᖇᗩᐯᙓᒪᙓᖇ." A lioness emerges from the fog, and though she's beautiful, the unnatural smirk on her face is the most unsettling thing you've encountered yet. "ᖻOᙀ ᒪOOK ᒪOSᖶ." You reluctantly explain that you are just passing through. "ᑎOᑎSᙓᑎSᙓ, ᖻOᙀ ᒪOOK ᗩS ᖶᕼOᙀᘜᕼ ᖻOᙀ ᕼᗩᐯᙓᑎ'ᖶ ᙓᗩᖶᙓᑎ ᓰᑎ ᗫᗩᖻS. ᙅOᙏᙓ ᙎᓰᖶᕼ ᙏᙓ, ᖴᖇᓰᙓᑎᗫ." The more she speaks, the more you pick up on a slight unnatural crackling whistle in her voice. The more you look at her, the more you begin to notice cracks in her mottled fur, as though she's fallen apart and been stitched back together. But you aren't sure how much longer you can survive these wastes without food or water. So, against every bone in your body telling you to run away, you agree, and follow her into the mist. About Me Nephyres/Neph | 23 years old | She/her Hello! I'm Nephyres, but you can call me Neph. I'm 23 years old attending college full time (I'm graduating this May, yippee!); my major is international affairs with a concentration in public administration. I'm currently working a few part time jobs, but my main one is at my university's alumni association where I am an administrative specialist. I love all things motorsport, particularly F1. I just wrapped up an internship at one of the F1 racetracks and am hoping to return there post-grad. I also just LOVE cars, I'm the proud owner of a 2024 BMW M4 that I'm in the process of making some fun modifications to (I'm super new to modding cars though so if anyone has any pro-tips PLEASE share, I'm the world's biggest rookie). I also love fashion and enjoy modelling as one of my part-time jobs (I am an amateur by all means possible). In my free time I love hiking, travelling, reading (fantasy fans leave suggestions), go-karting, and horseback riding (I ride with my university's western team which is pretty fun!). I've been on LD since 2016 and go through frequent, spontaneous long-term breaks, but somehow always end up back here. I am hoping to embark on a new mutie breeding project but I have so many dang muts I don't know which one to focus on. I'm online pretty much every day, though, so feel free to reach out!
