The Budding Wastelands.

A land ravaged by one of its previous rulers, Ashwagansha. Who was led here by the king before him. Abuya, the last king, had begun to lead the pride out of it. Not by moving, but slowly attempting to renew the land. It would take generations, but hopefully it would be revived with life once again.

After Abuya's reign, hints of life had returned. Sprouts of grass and even trees had returned. Herbs were planted by some of the shamans of the pride, specifically Korah and The Nameless. Later on, Carrizoa, a cub that had found its way back from the Demiurge. It was supposed to be dead, among the stars. But he seemed determined to help the pride, so, despite rational thinking, he was allowed to return to the earthly realm due to being one of the few of many that were strong enough. Although tampered with through the Cancer residue, rituals were performed by both Abuya and some shamans so this wouldn't pass on to other pride members or cubs. Although a mark of what once was remained. (ritual indri)

Eventually, as he was raised, he grew stronger. Recovering from the residue. Although his pridemates continued to stay away from him, for fear of the rituals not working. Some judged Abuya's decision to keep the Felis in the pride after he recovered. Those lions not treating him quite well, and never really sharing their prey. Snide comments often aimed at the heir.

Despite this, the felis remained oblivious. He was always thickheaded. Always confused at the accusatory glances when Abuya had become deceased. As if it was his fault. That he should've went out, instead of the sickening king.
