The stars were witness of the born of the Kings and Queens of the pride at the north of the territory.
Unnoted beasts of inconstant behavior and rules, but with the same objective in mind: Keep their pride and territory safe and sound from any kind of danger, didn’t matter how high or powerful it was, they had to be able to keep their lands in their domain.
The first king came from nowhere, didn’t had a legacy to share, neither had a name that means anything to any lion that cross paths with him, just a wandering and lonely lion with the mere objective to make a pride of his own. Born form nomads parents, without a clue of how reign, he made it into a secure and not claimed territory.
It was a big, strong and fierce, and yet, the most kind and merciful lion that anyone could have known but the elders said that even the most highest king was, once, young.
The first king didn't knew how to reign or keep a pride in peace, he was uneperienced and with a big lack o knowledge, but the rumors says that he learned from an lioness, a bit olders than him. She was a wandering lioness who crossed paths with this young king' lands and, sensing a chance to start all over, decided to stay with him to teach him.
This, however, marked the start of a new legacy in the lands.
Little by little, both lions started to spend time together, trusting each other, finding more than mere company with the other. By the time the pride started to gathering more member, both were claimed as king and queen, in a equality reign that was never saw before.
Sadly, the king and queen understtod that their bloodline wouldn't be able to prevail in the pride; though they were strong lions, their genes weren't strong enough to survive in the fierce lands. So, in order to keep their lessons and belives alive in the pride, they both selected a heir, an adopted cub strong to protect the pride and lead when the time had to come.
It was unusual, tho, and the rumors about this crossed the savanna fast. Many liones, some rogues and king, decided that it was a insult to the lions' tradition to allow that kind of reign prevail. Many fights were endured, leaving marks in both lions, some healed and some left nasty scars, but none of those mattered when the pride was safe under the kings claws.
Nobody were able to defeat him in a duel and though many criticized their way to live and their way to lead, nobody was able to change their mind.
When the king and queen passed away, they left behind strong, fierce and gentle lions to protect the pride and spread their free way to live.
By the years passed, some of their belief faded with the wind, leaving merciless and cruel kings and queens to rule the northern lands, leaving bones, blood and scars at their path.
That's what the rumors said, anyway.
As you enter in the rocky lands, you can already feel the unsetting presence of the depredadors of the teritory even when you can't see them yet.
After taking a look around the lands, you notice, under the shadow of a big tree, a pair of crystal eyes in you. Even through those eyes are in high alert, their posture is relaxed.
You take uncertain steps towards the lion, who changed their previus sitting posture to stand in the light, stepping out of the tree. It was a lioness who had a blue-like skin, but in the edges you could see darker spots, and a lot of scars all over her body, she seemed confident but her eyes were analyzing everything of you
It had a mottled body, but almost all her markings shared the same tone.
After giving you a scrutinizing look, she spoke: "Greetins, stranger. I'm Llýsia
, the Ferox lioness", You're sure you have heard that tittle before "And these are King ƠℜƗℰℵS' pride lands. Our king greet you from afar" A subtle look at your back made you turn around and meet, from a few meters, a really big lion looking at you intently.
He had fire fog coming from his mouth and paws. His face and body was covered with a orange Veil, the rest of his body was protected with orange garments. His wild mane was puffed and the fire in his paws seemed to grow brighter.
Looking back to the scarred lioness, you comment that's a weird way to greet. The lioness laugh a bit "We're aware, but it's safer like this. We're never alone, anyway" Her tail flicks at your right and, following it, you find a even Bigger Lion
than you, resting in a rock without taking his eyes from you.
You explain the lioness that you mean no harm, just guided by the curiosity from the rumors. She nod at your words and calmly explain "We understand, as long as you don't cause any kind of problem around here, you are welcome to the king' lands. However, you must present yourself at him"
She started to walk passing you from your left side, guiding you towards the king, indicating with her tail to follow.
Before you can reach the queen, she barely whisper for only you hear: "Welcome to the Boreus lands"
