THE RESURRECTION
Raziel stepped heavily threw the forest of his territory. There at the center was a burial mound.
His voice trembled and he started crying as he stared at the cold rocks.

"Father.....I have failed. I cant do this. I cant be the king you wanted me to be. I cant do everything. I cant fight. I cant choose which cubs are worthy of life or which ones get sold. The pride is hurting. The lionesses hunt constanly yet.....i cant be you."

He sat down in front of one of the larger stones.
"You can come out. I know you're there Andromeda."

The sound of bat like wings rustling threw the bushes was the only answer. Soon she steppedbout into the moonlight. The moon made her white fur shine or maybe that was what they were about to do.

"Raziel. Are you sure this is what you want to do? You will loose your life....it will be like you never were. He'll be back but you will be cursed to wainder the shadows for all eternity."

Raziel hung his head. He shifted his weight from one paw to another digging his claws into the forest floor.

"But the pride will live. Thats all i need. Its not thriving under me. I will never be Fruity Loops. I will never be my father. Everyone looks at me and sees it. They even look at Zeus as if they expect my older brother to take the mantel of king from me. Save them. I need to do this. Its the only way im fit to be king."

Andromeda let out a sigh. "Very well. But you must know. HE WILL NOT BE Fruity Loops. He may look and stand like your father but in reality he wont be. You can not bring back the dead and not expect some changes. He will know things. He will remember the past and his death. He will know what you're doing now. And his heart will break for his son, Raziel."

Raziel nodded his head. "I understand. Tell me what to do."
Together they set up the ritual. They cleared the rocks and dust from on top of Fruity Loops and laid his body in the center of thier strange symbols. Andromeda has Raziel lay with his nose almost touching his fathers.

"You are very brave Raziel. May no one forget your sacrifice." Andromedas eyes flashed from a cloudy pink to a deep black. Her symbols glowed and burst into flame. As they burned Raziel let out a scream. He forced himself to stay touching his fathers nose with his own. He shuddered and as his eyes closedfor the last time, his fathers opened.

"RAZIEL!" Fruity Loops screamed his sons name as the younger lion burst into flame. All at once all the fires died and the clearing was only lit by moonlight.

Andromeda stepped forward. "Welcome back my king." She dipped her head in a bow. "You have been missed Fruity Loops"

Fruity Loops stood up. His legs shook under him. His head was still spinning. "I...what...Raziel..."

"Your son has died so you may live. He was failing as a king and couldn't fill your paw prints. Instead of working harder. He chose this."

"I died. I was old. I got to live a full life with my pride. I got to be a grandpaw. I got to help raose my grandcubs..."

Andromeda looked at Fruity as he struggled.

"And now My King you get to do it all again. Another life to live and give to your pride. More cubs and grand cubs until you again get to be a grandpaw."

Fruity shook his mane and stretched his front legs. He flexed his claws. "If thats the case.." His voice deepened to a deep growl. "I am not Fruity Loops. Fruity Loops is dead. I am RESURRECTION" He let out a roar that echoed back to his pride.
