The humans are all gone, but the desolate earth left in their wake rebuilds itself, as always.

The humans are all gone, but the animals are not, and the lands of the lions stretch further than ever before in the wake of their global tyranny. Some groups stay where they are, where they have always been: the familiar haunts of the savannah. Some venture to the forests, the shorelines, even the frigid mountains. They survive. Adapt, slouching through the wastes in search of new places to bring up their cubs where fresh life sprouts from the ground and prey still roams.

The folly of men still looms large over the land, however.

The living aren't the only things that move.
