"Good afternoon, stranger. I am Sorcerer Genesis. We greet you as equals. What brings you here today? Perhaps you have a wife you'd like me to meet? Or maybe you'd just like to join us for tea. As long as your intentions are peaceful, we welcome our guests."

From the forest and flowers come lions of all ages, curious about the visitor from afar.

Guide to titles!

Sorcerer Genesis and whoever rises to take his place once he passes.

Seer: Heir to the title of Shaman, future leader of the pride.

High Priest/Priestess: Lion(ess) closest to the Shaman and leader of the main hunters. Helps make pride decisions with the Shaman. They are essentially king/queen-consort and their children become princesses.

Princess: Children of the royal bloodlines between the high priest/priestess and the Shaman. Princesses can fill many roles, but command more respect than the average lioness.

Archmagus: The Archmagus is the leader of the scholars, and is a skilled practitioner of magic, herbalism, and divination.

Healer: The healer tends to wounds, oversees births, and watches cubs. They lead the guardians and mind the den when the upper ranks are off hunting/patrolling/etc.

Guardian: guardians are broodmother lionesses. They are led by the healer, and assist them in tending to the young, sick, and injured. When the healer dies, a successor is chosen from among the guardians.

Scholar: There are 5 types of scholars: Druids, Diviners, Alchemists, Clerics, and Witches. This is usually based on stat distribution, but sometimes a lioness may be placed elsewhere to maintain a balance between the five disciplines.

Ranger: Rangers are the hunters of the pride. They report directly to the high priestess. Only lionesses who finished their training can become a ranger. It's a demanding job - a ranger only rests for the day she gives birth.

Champion: the Champion patrols the nearby territory, keeping border markings fresh, chasing off rivals, and training the seer when the time comes.

Hierophant: The former High Priestess/Priest. Very wise, and their opinion has a lot of weight in pride decisions.

Liánhuā feels that her time is coming to a close. The years are catching up to her, and her declining health serves as a reminder of her own mortality. She sets about tracking down a mate for Genesis, setting up the treasury, and retiring the oldest lionesses.
