Valiant Nightpelt's Den

The river delta has always been theirs. Its’ lush greenery, crystal waters and cool shade have always belonged to the pride. Even their name reflects this: the Pride of the Great Golden River.

The lions who call this river and its’ banks home are a rather sentimental lot. They recognize that their river is one of the biggest water sources around, so they do not object to other lions coming around for a drink. A lone lion driven from his or her pride may even be forgiven for taking a fish or two. But those who dare to cross the river into the Pride’s territory without permission will not live to regret it.

But it is not only the lions that intruders must fear. The waters are regularly patrolled by enormous crocodiles, ready to snap and tear at any threat that manages to slip past the pride. The lions and the crocodiles mostly keep to themselves, but should the river or its’ surrounding environs face a great enough threat, then the two will bond together and fight with the strength and fury of the gods themselves…
