The Story Behind King Phillip.

King Phillip hadn’t always been a king. King Phillip was once a prince, born into royalty. But we aren’t to that part….not yet. A young dwarf lioness was roaming the lands that belonged to a newly kinged male, Kalahari. He had been exploring the lands when he saw her sunbathing on a rock. He couldn’t help but smirk in a way, she was so small, and…long. He walked up to her but slowly retreated once he saw that she was afraid of his large form. Of course, she would be afraid of him, he was a primal, and stories had been going around about him. She suddenly felt bad for him and smiled awkwardly. “I apologise.” She said, walking towards him, or waddling towards him anyway. He sat down, trying to look smaller. “I'm sorry, too.” He said, “I shouldn’t have just walked right up to you like that.” She sat down beside him purring, “Oh thats alright..” She said. He smiled, knowing he could have her now. He could have anything he wanted. “Whats your name?” He asked, grooming her as she purred. “Ingrith… And yours?”
“Kalahari.”

Years went by, and Ingrith found herself not loving Kalahari anymore. But she knew if she were to run, he would kill her. After the years went by she found out a few things, he was ruthless, rude, killer, and well, just downright unpolite. She sighed, laying on the same rock he had found her on, but this time, there was another dwarf… The way he moved had her hypnotized. She held her breath as he walked by, almost completely ignoring her. She got up quickly, following him. He lead her to a secluded place and things happened, things she would never regret. The months went on and she was with cubs. “Oh Kalahari,” she said smiling up at him. “Our cubs wil be beautiful.” She said. He smiled and nodded, “Oh yes they will.” Little did he know, those cubs, were in fact not his. The cubs were born on a nice spring day, and one of them was perfectly healthy, but the other, a dwarf. Kalahari was not too happy about this, but he wouldn’t hurt the cubs. After all, they were his. Or so he thought anyway. The time went on and the cub turned into a respectful, kind male. His name was Prince Phillip.

One day, Kalahari sat down to the prince and began to speak with him. “Phillip, now that you are three years if age, i think we should talk. I am getting older, and this pride needs a new king.” The young prince held his breath, “Are you telling me, you want me to be king?” He asked, his eyes wide. Kalahari nodded his big head, “More than anything in the world.” He smiled softly at the prince. Phillip stood up and looked at Kalahari, “Well then, im ready!” He exclaimed.
