About Me

Trekking the bone-dry terrain of a savannah long scorched, muscles weary and sore. You begin to wonder if your thirst and hunger was morphing in visual hallucinations. Shadows dance in your peripheral, watching you, stalking you. Your paws hurt, your mouth is dry, and begin to think that you’d rather give whatever you suspect is hunting you an easy meal. That was until a figure began to emerge from the dust, not at all like a predator about to pounce on its target.

A lion! A strange lion with a hood over their eyes and two dark horns sprouting from their forehead, body adorned with ropes and gold shapes tethered to their arms. The shadows that you had seen from the corner of your eyes began to crowd behind this stranger as they come closer, a soft rumble coming from deep within their chest.

"Greetings," They speak, bowing their head with a respect you’re unfamiliar with. "My scouts have been following you for some time, but don’t be alarmed, we mean no harm. I am Sultan, King of the Deserter Pride, and you have stumbled into good luck."

You blink, trying to soak it all in. Questions dance on the tip of your tongue, but King Sultan senses your confusion and cracks a small smile, showing off ivory-colored teeth.

"Please, allow us to help you," requests the strange hooded lion, "Not all is lost. My lionesses will nurse you back to health." They assure with a tone that soothes your weary spirit, turning away and beckoning you with a flick of their tail.

Sultan’s pride lingers by the spindly, dry trees, eyeing you with inscrutable expressions. Strange they may be, but Sultan’s invitation is enticing. Before you knew it, your paws were following theirs, letting yourself be led further into the desolated savannah…
