Introduction

A breeze rustles through the dim trees as you make your way through the marshlands. Every snap of branches below your feet or movement of the murky waters brushed by the wind send shivers up your spine. How could anyone endure living here? You shake the slithering thoughts of nearby questionable creatures and head towards what seems to be light and the meager sound of rushing water. To your surprise, it actually is what you imagined and it's gorgeous. A large waterfall adorns a small clearance extending into a narrow river, flowing through said opening. Many little mammals are gathered around, going about their buisness either foraging for food or basking in the warm sun. You sigh. Maybe it's not so bad after all. Suddenly, the shifting movement of something in the bushes startles your reflection. You manage to turn around quick enough to duck as a large lion leaps over you, seizing a muskrat in its jaws. After assuring that the rodent is breathless, it turns towards you and you can finally see its features. A Jellyfish feline withtoo many hypnotizing confetti eyes scrutinizes you. The male's charming mane dances with its every movement. He doesn't look like a usual lion yet he smells like one. What a peculiar guy...The king smiles at you, droplets of blood dripping down his teeth and onto the damp ground. ''You've caught me in my hunt..'' He clears his throat, briefly embarassed about the circumstances of your encounter, bright white speckled patches decorating his tricolored fur. You wonder what other pigment he has under there. ''You seem quite lost…’’ He tilts his head, looking you up and down. ‘’Nevertheless, my name is Nautilus; I am the ruler of these lands. It's not much but it's home.'' The king looks over in the distance then back at you, ''Walk with me?'' He asks as you two make your way through the river, your paws merely submerged by exceptionally clear water. ''What brings you to these parts of the lands today? Are you visiting my pride? Or maybe the shop?'' He looks down, pensive. You gaze at him then back in front once more only to stumble nose to nose with an unusual merlot marked male. The lion grins and stands in your way before introducing himself, a nonchalant tune echoing out of his throat. ''I’m Yeon, the shopkeeper as well as the prince around here. Do take a detour to check out what I have for sale today.'' He looks you up and down, the grin reappearing on his face and adds ‘’I wouldn’t mind..’’. The king sighs then proceeds to resume his stroll with you. ''Excuse Yeon, he's new to all of this. Comes from very far away.'' You look back to where the prince was standing only to find a few ladies trailing behind him. The king pauses and turns to you, a warm smile on his lips, ''As fun as this has been, I have to leave you here. There's things I must do today.I hope to see you around these parts again.'' He jumps onto a knocked down tree trunk and glances at you once last time, ''Make yourself at home, check on my females or the shop. Nice meeting you!'' With these words, the Piebald lion drops down the other side of the trunk and wanders off into the dense vegetation before him.
