tumblr_l9k472pJ131qz5njko1_500.jpgIt's been ten years since the battle with the Dark Forest. The legend of Firestar had passed for many moons after his death, and the Clan's had been getting on with there lives. With the Dark Forest not a threat anymore, they had nothing to worry about, right? After the passing of four leaders, Bramblestar, Rowanstar, Harestar, and Reedstar, StarClan grew on edge. The four leaders slowly grew into paranoia and insanity, and thoughts clouded there mind. What if the Clan's would decide to turn there backs on StarClan? There was nothing stopping them, and because of that the four leaders had decided to wreck havoc on the Clan's with natural disaster's and disease. The other StarClan cats tried to stop them, however they were older spirits, and didn't have as much power as the four leaders.

While Harestar and Reedstar were set on destroying the Clan's in anyway they could, Bramblestar knew what they were doing was wrong, however he couldn't possibly take on both Harestar and Reedstar. Rowanstar was to afraid to speak out as well, and went along with Harestar and Reedstar. Reedstar had decided to spread a disease across the Clan's, however with the help of Rowanstar the Clan's managed to find a cure. Harestar was furious at this, and had poisoned the lake. All the prey had died off and the Clan's had nothing to eat, as well as them being poisoned and killed for drinking the rivers and streams.

Only eight cats had survived the disaster, and Bramblestar not wanting the Clan to die out, risked his own life to send a prophecy to the remaining cats. "Two of each Clan will meet beneath the moonlight of the place where the truce is held. The lake will be no more and the mountain pass will hold safety". Now the remaining cats have been woken from the dream with Bramblestar giving them a prophecy, they must take action. Will they hold the past ThunderClan leaders words true and meet up with the other Clans, or refuse and continue to stay at the lake?

Sandflower

"Good". It was his only answer to her big eyes. He lashed his tail and waited patiently for the reply, not wanting to already get on the bad side of the other felines just yet. It would be rather bad if he did so and they joined up with one of the other clans just to take revenge, but what if they were the only left... He shook the thought away.

"Where am I? Who was talking? What's going on?" Questions rushed through her brain as she stood up. She began walking in large circles while mumbling to herself possible answers. Bluepool eventually shook her head and went out of her world. She looked at the other cats "There's other cats alive?! Yay!" she ran around Sandflower and Ravenpaw

Sandflower

His ears perked at the sound of the other she-cat ringed through them, his ears then flattened as she ran around them, making him rather nervous. "Yes, we are indeed alive, and could you please stop running around, you are giving me a headache" he answered, the fur on his long tail raised a little. Hurray, a hyper daydreamer, just what we needed... he thought to himself, staying silent otherwise.

"Oh..umm sorry" Bluepool stopped running and sat down. She shuffled her paws and examined the other cats more carefully. "What clan are you from" she asked as her tail curled around her paws *I'm not very familiar with these two" she thought and looked at Blazefeather with slight concern for their safety

Sandflower

He gave a quick thanking nod as she stopped, letting out a soft sigh afterwards. He looked over at Ravenpaw and then at the female, looking rather surprised at the question. "Let me guess, you don't really look at the cats at the gatherings and stick around your own clan?" he asked, trying to stay on the polite side, but it was getting harder and harder. "Riverclan" he then answered.

Bluepool looked at Sandflower then tilted her head when he spoke "Yea how do you know what I do?" she started thinking and looked into the sky *He's a spy! Wait no then he would know my name. Unless he's playing dumb or he's not, or he's really smart and knew how to confuse me* she started getting frustrated

Sandflower

"A wild guess" he said and laid down onto his stomach, his claws sunk into the soft soil below them. His amber eyes glared around as he waited for an answer to his last question to the other female, his mind started to get clouded as he waited. He just wanted away from here, away from all the dead cats, away from the stank. Away from everything.

Ravenpaw was watching this interaction intently. Sandflower seemed to be getting more and more frustrated as this conversation continued. His tail was twitching a lot. However, Ravenpaw was growing bored of cat watching, but she remembered what Sandflower had said, and made sure to sit still and be quiet, to not annoy the other cats.

"Oh ok hmmm" She pawed at the ground still thinking *He must be tricking me, oh he's good* she thought and stared at Sandflower. She began examining him just in case. *I never thought Riverclan would have a spy...maybe every clan had a spy. I wonder who they were* her tail flicked wildly at this thought "I miss the others" she said completely ignoring her new thoughts

Owlstar awoke with a violent jerk, his amber eyes blinking in the dim light. No cat? But I just saw... his own thoughts were interrupted by the last, fading echoes of his dream. Good luck... What was that supposed to mean? The lake would be no more? Ridiculous. I just ate a bad piece of fresh-kill, he thought, pushing himself to his paws and shaking his pelt.

Owlstar frowned suddenly. Although the past moons had been hard and they had fewer cats than ever, camp activities were typically bustling at this point. No warriors calling to apprentices, and where was the sound of Lizardtail calling out patrol assignments?

Uneasily, Owlstar tentatively padded out of his den and into the deserted camp clearing. No, no, no, he thought, anxiety gripping his heart. His paws carried him over to the warrior's den, and he slipped inside. Lizardtail slept at the front of the den, all sprawled out, the way he slept since they were kits in the nursery. But there was none of the typical twitching or muttering in his sleep. Owlstar quivered as he surveyed the rest of the den, his eyes resting on his most senior warriors. Pikefur, Redclaw, Fernstripe... He pressed his nose into their pelts in turn before recoiling, backing out of the den and into the deserted camp.

Are they all dead? he wondered, coming to a halt in front of the nursery. Just the other day, Lakesong had her kits, two she-cats and a tom. He heard no mewling of hungry newborns, and he dared not go in.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw movement from the medicine cat den, and Frostfeather stepped out. Without a second thought, Owlstar bounded over to her, pressing his nose to her shoulder in a rare show of affection. At least someone other than him made it out alive.

Owlstar drew back, his amber eyes narrowed. "What happened?" he asked, his voice tense with worry. "I woke up, and everyone's-- everyone's dead, Frostfeather." His heart sank as he recalled Bramblestar's words. "StarClan knew, too. They sent me a dream."

The medicine cat gave a sigh of relief as she saw Owlstar, however her small bit of relief was short lived as Owlstar showed a rare scene of affection and spoke. So everyone was dead. Warriors, Elders, Queens, Kits, Apprentices. Every cat of ShadowClan taken before their time. "They have sent me a dream as well." Frostfeather replied, averting her gaze from the ShadowClan leader's. Frostfeather was a cat who much preferred to grieve in private and use her work to distract herself, something she seemed to have inherited from her mentor, Blacktail, from when she worked under the old medicine cat.

"Are...are we going to bury them before leaving? StarClan told us 'two of each clan'. I can only guess similar terrible things have happened to the other Clans." Frostfeather asked the leader, her voice remaining level but with an obvious sad tone to it. She assumed Owlstar would heed StarClan's prophecy and meet with the others, but they always buried their dead as well. Granted, this was nothing like she'd ever heard happen before. As far as she knew, StarClan had never just gone and killed nearly all the cats in the clans before.

Owlstar hesitated, sending a quick glance to the dens behind him. Truth be told, he absolutely did not want to go back in any of those and deal with the fact that almost his entire Clan was dead, destroyed. Taking a deep breath, he looked back at Frostfeather and squared himself up. Dead or not, they were and forever would be his Clan members, and his loyalty lay to them first and foremost. Ideally, they would hold a vigil too, but if they had to meet with the other Clan cats by nightfall, there would be no time for that.

"Of course we're burying them," he growled. "It's what they all deserve." His voice cracked with grief as he spoke. No cat should ever have to bury their entire Clan in one day.

With that, he turned away, squeezing into the nursery. After a moment's hesitation and with unusually great delicacy, he picked up the limp body of Berrykit and emerged, making his way out of camp toward the burial place. Why would StarClan do this to us? What did we ever do to deserve something like this? Perhaps this was a sign they had abandoned the Clans...

((burial's obviously gonna take a long time, Nny, so if you want to do a little timeskip in the next post so they can meet up with everyone/do something more interesting, i'd be all right with that))

[[that could work. x3 to be honest i didn't think of how long it might take them aha.]]

F r o s t f e a t h e r ;
Frostfeather nodded her approval. All cats deserved a proper burial, although never in her worst nightmares would she have to do something this painful. The medicine cat firmly believed that emotional pain can greatly outweigh anything psychical. This was one of those times.
She didn't move for a moment though, only when her gaze followed Owlstar as he carried out young Berrykit did she get to her own paws. Glancing towards the medicine den, she wondered briefly if she had enough mint, lavender and rosemary for everyone. She knew the answer was no though. Frostfeather never carried much in her stores as it took up space other, more important, herbs could use. Still, Snakepaw was in there. She couldn't avoid it.
Stepping into the den, she paused in front of her apprentice's lifeless body once more, taking a deep breath. "If I could have given you your clan name," she meowed to her apprentice, "I'd give you the name of Snakeheart. You would have been a great medicine cat." Grasping her apprentice by the scruff gently, Frostfeather hauled her apprentice out of his nest...

[[Mini time skip thingy? I don't do these too often. x3]]

The last cat Frostfeather gathered happened to be her own sibling, Ravenwing. Frostfeather paused before the black and white warrior, muttering something to send him off to Starclan with as she did with all the others, before grasping his scruff and hauling him off towards the burial area. She'd forgotten how heavy her littermate was. As she moved him, The medicine cat remembered their kithood and their apprenticeship. Ravenwing was always the biggest, or fattest as she called him. She and Snowpelt were always making fun of him for that. At least her siblings wouldn't be alone in StarClan.

Placing the tom on the ground as she reached her destination, Frostfeather sat back a moment to catch her breath. This was definitely harder than she'd anticipated. She wasn't use to so much psychical exertion, maybe it was because she wasn't a warrior however. She'd bury every one of her clanmates though, no matter how tiring it was. Frostfeather was sure of that.

[[Sorry if it kind of sucks. ;-; It's late here and Nny is rather tired.]]

{lacking muse, bleh xc}

Blackpaw
Medicine Cat Apprentice of ThunderClan

Snapping out of his increasingly jumbled and agitated thoughts at Foxstride's exclamation, it gave him ever so slight relief and helped the young tom ignore the sickening scents, thinking. It was a good way to deal with things with ignorance, something he rarely approved of, but this was a special situation. Three apprentice jumped a bit, admittedly back away from Foxstride, when he rose suddenly and spoke. Quickly he hurried behind the large tom, ”I'm coming!” He hissed glad to something else to focus on, however once he reached the entrance he couldn't help but glance back a last time, they should have at least put catmint, lavender and rosemary on everyone, and he had wished to give his mentor a proper burial. She was barely thrice his age, Mousepelt didn't even have grey hairs on her muzzle yet and already she died. No, murdered, and by StarClan no less! The fur along his spine rose a bit upon realizing that Blackpaw shook himself and started for ShadowClan.

He toke off at a more bounding pace carefully avoiding patches of brambles, even in this situation he disliked the idea of something sticking to his pelt, and tall trees that seemed to rise up out of nowhere just to block his path, but by this time Blackpaw knew the forest well and was able to predict the placement of larger obstacles. Faintly could he smell the border markers, checking them wasn't as important as hunting to provide for all of the sick cats so they were almost undetectable even to his sharp sense of smell. Stopping at the border, the apprentice was reluctant to cross, he had only ever gone into the other territories with his mentor and it was only to help the other medicine cats or ask for supplies. Ears raised and alert he lowered his head as he stepped across into ShadowClan, he felt almost as though he was trespassing, especially as he went further with the dark pines looming over his head and looking down at him.

Owlstar ||

The ShadowClan leader felt his shoulders sag as Frostfeather brought in Ravenwing. With a heavy sigh, he repeated the process they had repeated these past few hours: rub a bit of mint, lavender and rosemary on the body, murmur a small prayer and begin burying the dead cat. As he repeated the prayer for each cat, Owlstar felt himself believing the words less and less, and as he buried Ravenwing, he wondered if StarClan was even the best place for his cats anymore. Surely not, if they--

Clenching his jaw, Owlstar shook that thought away. No, this had to have been the work of the Dark Forest, somehow. The thought was of little comfort to him.

As soon as he finished scraping the soft earth over Ravenwing's body, a familiar scent hit his nose. "ThunderClan," he hissed softly, narrowing his eyes. Even in disaster, they had no respect for borders. Could this not have waited until they had to meet later that evening?

"I'll go look," he said with a dismissive twitch of his tail before heading off towards the intruders. To be honest, he was quite thankful for the distraction. Dealing with ThunderClan intruders almost seemed... normal, but as he walked he desperately wished he had his warriors by his side.

The ThunderClan medicine cat apprentice came into view first. Hardly a threat. Owlstar stopped a few foxlengths away. "Can I help you?" he asked coldly.
