So just a small idea I had. There was a lot of popularity with the Buffalo Scrotums when they came out and I for one want to continue using them, though they are in limited supply. I can't wait till next year for more so this is just a small suggestion. In the Explore function you have the option of fighting a Buffalo NPC. I was thinking, if the NPC is defeated, he has a chance of dropping Buffalo Scrotum. Not a high chance but higher then the prospect of dropping scars. This would keep them a bit rare and yet offer a steady supply of them for everyone, not just GB users since it wouldn't be an oasis item. Maybe make them as rare or more rare then scars?

So what do you guys think? Feel free to put in your own opinions and what not ^^

Suggested by Rosethorn and Icy:
- Maybe instead of Buffalo Scrotums have some other fertility item that offers the same benefits as Scrotums. Perhaps, Buffalo Heart? Or Zebra Liver? Maybe have this one have a chance of producing 2-4 cubs instead of 3 every time.

This suggestion has 215 supports and 3 NO supports.

Now I have the image of a lion, after defeating the NPC Buffalo, nibbling them off to free them from the carcass that's left behind.

But as Icy said, then it'll take away from the event only item.

If a similar item was introduced with a different name etc, then sure, but not the exact same item.

0-0 awkward image of a male lion nibbling on a male buffalo's balls

Well the issue I have with a lion removing a part from the NPC is, in the description after you've won a battle, it says the animal flees, though badly injured. It isn't dead.

So.. that would be sort of a heinous action for a lion to beat a buffalo, rip out his scrotum, and leave him to run off and die without bothering to kill it and take the carcass home. xD

There would probably end up being a likelyhood of females coming back from a hunt bringing this back, because they actually drag the bodies home and the animal is dead (having been hunted).

With NPC fights it's just that- a fight. The victor wins exp., impression and sometimes SB, but your lion never ends up killing the opponent. That's all I meant by it not really making much sense to me.

But yes, rosethorn, I do like the idea of a more valuable part of an animal helping fertility rates. After all, in the wild, predators go for the really dark organ meats first because it's the most nutritious. Scrotum is hardly nutritious compared to dark red meats. xD It'd make more sense for an in-game item to be something like liver, kidneys, heart (maybe a buffalo heart? :O ) I think the scrotum thing was just novelty for vday, anyway. x3

@Icy - I completely agree with you. There is also the possibility of this.

If the snake quest EVER gets upgraded to be more functional, introduce rewards BESIDES EXP & SB. What about earning particular items for completing a successful quest?

You could easily earn a specific herb that would allow at least two cubs to be born, or what you suggest when cub mortality gets introduced, an organ meat that boost their survival.

its a zebra liver to be correct silverwolfleopard :) only because most carnivores head to that organ of the animal because of its nutrients

I disagree with the idea of getting this sort of item in explore. If its possible to get it from exploring, then it isn't as special when the item shows up in events. The point of the events is to bring in new, exclusive items that you can't get anywhere else.

No support reason why what Axel and Kalista said: Cub market.

Plus in battle your enemy flees why would they drop their goodies, you would have to kill it to get it.

well leave that to us cub chasers, we enjoy chasing off the cubs and trying to help the cub market :) and just think, you paid 30 Gb to breed to a vitiligo 3 stud, would you want one cub instead of being able to have 3 or 2 with this item?!

and yes we would have to kill it so maybe here's another idea: Kitty and Xy could maybe add the possibility of getting a zebra liver when you eat a zebra carcass? but make it rare enough that you would not get one every time?
