Nuka lay on the ground, his whole body hurt. His vision was blurry and his breath was heavy. Why? How? How could this have happened? Why did this happen? A zebra that smelled of the Pridelands lay a few feet away, but that wasn't the blood that was spread all over the area known as Haven. No, that blood didn't belong to the kill that had been slaughtered just inches beyond the border of the Pridelands, that blood belonged to none other than Nuka. His body was covered in open cuts, the blood oozing out ever so slowly. All Nuka wanted to do was provide for his growing family at the moment, all he wanted to do was go out hunting, and even that was proving to be hard at the moment. His children were all teenagers, and his adopted son Mizuka was nearing adulthood himself, a lowly zebra wasn't going to cut it for them anymore. The meals were skimpy to say the least, but Nuka knew that he was trying his best to provide for the family. And he needed to do better, he knew that now. But now he was wounded, and Nuka doubted that he wasn't going to be getting up any time soon, or even any time at all. His body ached as he tried to move, his head was the only thing that didn't anguish him to move, and he looked his foe in the eyes; or well, eye. Nuka's claws were still unsheathed, but the other's blood was not on his claws but rather his own. Nuka hadn't landed a single strike onto the other male, but he seemed to do a lot of damage to the father of three. With a shortened and heavy breath, Nuka let out a coughing sigh. That hurt too, everything hurt him, even breathing. Luckily Nuka wouldn't die from this attack, but hell, it sure felt like it. Especially after that kick to the chest.

His attacker was none other than Kuraka, the seducer of the Outlands. Nuka had heard about him and seen him a number of times whenever his mother had been plotting to kill Simba with Kovu. He never liked the look of him, and hated what he did. Seducing lionesses for cubs and then killing them right after they give him their first litter? It was almost insane to think about, and Nuka knew that he would never ever do that. He loved his family too much, he didn't need to worry about securing his genes for the future. And what was worst of all? He supported his father. Oh no, this lion wasn't like any of the other Outsiders, no, this lion worshiped the ground that Scar walked on. He wanted to do just like he did; he wanted to be him. It was disgusting in its own right, it made even a beaten and battered Nuka shudder at the thought. Oh yes, now why did all this happen? Why was Kuraka standing here and Nuka on the ground inching ever so closer to death? Well in all truth, Nuka had no idea. He could barely remember any of it, and yet, he could. It was all a blur in reality, he could remember coming home and seeing Kuraka sniffing around the den. He could remember his claws flashing in the air. And then, Nuka could remember finally falling down onto the ground. He couldn't remember what was said by either lion or the true reason why Kuraka was around here spying, so he just assumed the worst. Nuka wasn't ready to give up though, he would die before Kuraka laid waste to his family. But the ground, it was so comforting and accepting, he almost didn't want to get up. It was almost as if this seemed like the better option.

Nuka blinked a few times, groaning as he moved his head once more to face Kuraka again. "Y-You-" he coughed once more, his body rocketing with pain as his body shook with the cough. "You bastard," It was the best thing that Nuka could come up with at the moment, his mind was still foggy with the result of the battle not being in his favor. He knew Mizuka was sleeping in the den, that much he saw as he first came towards Haven, but he had no idea where the other children that he and Tao and created were. He didn't know where Tao was either, he just hoped that they were far, far away from this danger and he would be the only casualty from this. He hoped Mizuka would get out of there alive too, a blind lion was not something that one wanted around in a pride, he was a liability. Kuraka would easily be able to take him out and Mizuka would have no idea what happened. The thought of that made him sick to his stomach, but Nuka could do nothing at the moment. He coughed once again and groaned. "W-What do you want with me?" He assumed Kuraka had been sent by his mother to attack him, bring him back to reality that she was still in charge, or something along those lines. But he had no idea that Kuraka had been here for personal reasons, something to do with his own children and Nuka's. He could barely hear the sound of footsteps approaching, and whether or not they were a cub's or and adult was something that he couldn't tell. Nuka lay on the ground, an angry beast standing above him with blood dripping from his mouth, and malice in his visible and scarred eye.
