Personality: Kito left her home right after puppyhood, running from an abusive family. After a hard year on the streets, she turned her eyes to the ocean. Name: Huesos (‘Bones’ in Spanish)

Despite the numerous scars that taint his pasty-white fur, his coat is kept pretty clean compared to some of the other salty sea dogs roaming around. Speaking of scars, he has received many throughout the life he’s led- a life of fighting and constant argument. One nasty scar reaches across the bridge of his nose, where a 'demonstration' went wrong during his schutzhund training. Generally speaking, he has an abundance of scars around his face. The rest of his figure is firm to the touch, left hard and thick from tough conditions and thick and lean from all the fighting. His fur isn't half as glamorous as it used to be due to its neglect, so tufts stick out on every end. A silver chain disappears into the wiry fur around his neck, a hardwood crucifix dangling just in front of his chest. Huesos weighs close to 100 pounds and his height at the withers is 26 inches. He has dark, deep golden brown eyes, which clash beautifully with his snow-white fur. His lanky limbs give no illusions to how much scarred muscle he really possesses, and his bony pale tail could have been the cause for his name. A whack from that tail could be lethal.

Personality: Huesos loves old lullabies, often singing a berceuse as he goes about his daily rituals of patching up everyone brought to him alongside his counterpart. He's got a bit of an accent, a long accented drawl of a foreign tongue. English isn’t his first language. Huesos is a dog that doesn't usually show his true feelings. He prefers to go through his work without his damned feelings getting in the way. Some used to say Huesos had a bleeding heart, dragging back dogs from all over, cutthroats, loners, rich and poor alike, treating their trifle or fatal wounds even as they snapped and tried to claw him. He still helps them, but not so zealously as before. His loyalty lies with his crew. At these times, sharp words would come from his skilled, satirical tongue. He doesn't yell at others, only an occasional bark of command, but he’s stern if necessary. He's stern if there's a squirming pup anxious to return to play, or a complaining deckhand with a splinter of wood stuck in their paw. Or even a Captain who thinks they're perfectly fine and dandy and won't let him help the stubborn mutts (even when it’s for their own damn good!) in his book, ‘Doctor’ outranks Captain when it comes to their health. He has quite a strong voice on those specific occasions. Huesos is fiercely religious, believing that there’s someone responsible, a higher power that everyone will have to face one day. Because of this, he carries a small, wooden crucifix on a silver chain around his neck. He pities any creature in pain, and will end that pain anyway he has to. If it means killing them, he'll not hesitate. If it means medicinal treatment, he's jumping at the chance to use his skills. He doesn't believe in murder to be the only solution, but he won't stop a dog from killing another if it means their survival. He'd much sooner be kind and care for you then snap at you, but even he (Especially him!) has a limit. Huesos of all things is an insanely intelligent dog, one who can be a master strategist when needed. Almost a Royal Fleet Dog, during which he had the luxury of learning a second language; he can fight, but would much rather solve things with words, not broken bones as his name might suggest. But even he knows that conflict is needed, fighting is inevitable, and he is one of the best advisors to the ‘ol Captain everyone calls leader in times of war (which is always!). Huesos strives to always remain calm and collected, even in the direst of times, and to see him lose his control means trouble. He’s seen the destruction and harm someone can do when they’ve lost control over themselves. Priding himself on his detachment, he tends to give very opinionated advice when prompted, but never sees himself as 'wise' or a ‘Sea dog’. In fact, he still sees himself as the common landlubber pet from long ago, calmly treating unimportant injuries and helping anyone he could while they used him and lead him on a leash. The male is also one to work alone. Huesos doesn't mind company, but he really doesn't value it either. Teamwork is essential. He understands that, but it doesn't mean he has to like it. Well he doesn't hate it, but it's not his favorite. He'd rather work by himself, because things, well, they seem get done quicker if he's alone, other dogs just get in the way, and take valuable time up when a crisis strikes.(Which also always happens!) But he doesn't mind the occasional company. Huesos doesn't mind a companion as long as they have some sort of head on them. Trust is a big issue with him; if you can't keep his, you'd better get out. Huesos can be social, he’s prone to clever sarcasm and witticism at the most interesting of times, but he'd rather the other shipmates solve their problems on their own, just not to the point he has to patch them up after their 'problem solving’. With his friends, Huesos has a loyalty like no other. He may not express it freely, but you can always trust him to carry out your orders. He can be quite the charmer when he wants to be, but also the very calm and serious type as well, depending on the situation. He usually gets along with either sex well, as long as they get along with him and do not create conflict. He might possess those ‘leadership’ qualities, but he’s got no interest in, nor is he looking for a command. Still, he’s not one to be bossed around by someone he doesn't respect, he won’t stand for an incompetent Captain. He prefers to not be in large crowds, or before the entire crew, not that he burns under the spotlight. He doesn't have a fear of speaking in front of a large group of dogs, considering he's given many speeches and lectures as a Doctor. Huesos is a damn stubborn dog, if he wants something done, he'll do it himself, if he has to. He sticks to his plans if he thinks they're the best, and won’t falter with them, even if it meant his life; or worse, being handed his tail and left at the closest port. All in all, Huesos is tactical and ever loyal to his Shipmates, even if he's a little tired of their constant injuring of themselves. His only flaws, would be his tendency to want to help everyone and anyone, even if they don't want his help, and the short fuse that he's developed. Huesos sometimes borders on being a manic depressive, hiding in his cabin while he bites his own tongue rather than do something worse. Too many lives he's lost. Too many deaths on his paws. How much blood has he seen? He’s got too much history with the title of ‘Doctor’, too tired of all the faces he sees at night all of them grimaces of pain or the peaceful picture of a claimed soul. He at least, knows where his own soul lies, yet for some reason he still keeps that cross ‘round his neck.
