So I was thinking of doing a few show/movie/book rps. Let me know whatcha think! TLK(The Lion King) This would take place when Mufasa and Taka(AKA Scar before he became Scar) are still cubs. There would be only a few OC slots, mostly it would be the characters from the movies(only a LOT younger). That's as far as I've gotten with it so far, so suggestions and input are welcome! Votes: 6/10 OUAT(Once Upon A Time) This will be based on the show OUAT, so you could make the characters whoever you wanted, as long as they were from a fairy tale. There would be one savior and one evil queen, plus the savior's kid(boy or girl, idc). They wouldn't have to have the same names or professions as the show, although you certainly could do that. Votes: 2/10 Divergent This would be based VERY loosely on the book series Divergent. It would take place before Tris and all the ensuing drama, so divergents are still rare and secret. You could be anything from someone who hasn't had their aptitude test yet to someone who's been in their faction for years, or even the factionless. All OCs, no real characters from the books please. Votes: 3/10 Hunger Games This would be based, again loosely, on the Hunger Games series. You could be anyone, in any district or even the capitol. There would be a games(so we would need a head game maker and 24 tributes to start). We could perhaps follow the basic plot-line of the series if that was what most people wanted, so if you don't know the whole plot I wouldn't suggest joining. Again, all OCs, no real characters from the books please. Votes: 8/10 Hogwarts This one would be about Hogwarts during the Triwizard Tournament. There would be any grade student, but the rules for the tournament still apply. I have a basic test for your OCs to know what house they would be in (Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin) and you could also be a student from the visiting schools. Teachers would be available, but the mythical creatures that might be run into would just be run by whoever runs into them. Votes: 5/10 Avatar This will be a The Last Airbender, not Pandora(blue people). I don't exactly have a plotline yet, but I am currently in the process of coming up with one. If you'd like to help out, feel free! I figure you can be whatever kind of bender you want, or be a non-bender, doesn't matter to me. Air benders would be limited though, unless I decided to make this plotline far in the past before the Fire Nation war, which I might possibly. Still a work in progress Votes: 1/10 Matched This will be based on the book series. I was thinking this one will follow at least a vague plotline of the book and might have actual characters instead of OCs, but I haven't decided yet. If you haven't finished the books and you want to read them, you probably shouldn't join this one. Votes: 0/10 Others will be added as I come up with them. Honestly, I would vote for everything xD Nonetheless, I will only vote for two but I'd like to give my opinion about some things c: TLK I love the idea of the rolepay being set during Mufasa's and Scar's childhood. Still, I am not going to vote for this one because of the few OC slots there would be. Despite the fact that I often prefer to use cannon characters I think that in this case, seeing as how we role-players would be subconsciously restrained by an already developed story (me, at least xD) the lack of OCs with which you can transgress the barriers of the already set story with your mind at ease makes me think that I, personally, would not engage all that eagerly so sadly, The Lion King doesn't get my vote. OUAT I haven't watched the series and thus I can't give an opinion. Divergent & The Hunger Games Probably the ones that most caught my attention. The only thing I have to say is that there should be some plots in mind beforehand, so that the RP doesn't die as soon as the character's have already met. Harry Potter I think you chose one of the best moments to set the RP in, seeing as how the Triwizard Tournament would be the "plot" in itself, every student is affected by it in a greater or lesser way and it will be an ever-pressent subject for conversations. Yet, there is one thing that almost always goes wrong with Harry Potter's roleplays: organization. With students attending classes on any schedule and regardless of house or year whenever we roleplayers feel like, sudden quidditch games or balls organized by two or three roleplayers and some others going to Hogsmeade (which supposedly can only happen on weekends) while another is getting yelled at during potions class (which can only happen during week-days) it can get quite messy and the roleplay looses credibility and becomes dull, often dying after some short time xD Though, if well organized, I can confidently say Harry Potter role-plays have been one of the bests I have ever had the pleasure of participating in. Thereby, I vote for either Divergent or Harry Potter RPs c: 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thank you Lady of Mud for all your input ^-^ The Hunger Games+Divergent will have a plot I think, I'm just trying to think of one XD As for Harry Potter, I would have posted what day/time of day it is(roughly)and for Triwizard Tournament, there would be less classes and I'd probably be one of the teachers just so that I could set up what time classes are and when the balls are and stuff, so that it would be organized. The TLK one could be interesting. My OC was born around that time, she's about the same age as Sarabi/ Sarafina, if not younger by a few months. But with only one vote, it may not get anywhere. I was contemplating doing a TLK one set before Taka and Mufasa's birth, but them as cubs would be interesting too. 0 players like this post! Like? |
