- : | Mill Wars | : - -:|Plot|:- Basically, A group of unimportant people sneak into a medium-sized puppymill and free all the dogs. They lose a grip on the door and all of the dogs escape. Now, they must survive in a small forested area with no experience of the outside world. But they aren't finished with humans. No, these things must exsist elsewhere. How could they let such things continue? Roleplay Thread -:|Rules|:- -Be nice OOC -All Lioden rules apply -No gm, pp, or Mary sues/Gary stus -This is a fully realistic rp, excluding of course the dogs are going to kill off humans who keep dogs in puppymills and free others. Sort of like the wc series -There are no ranks in the beginning, and are never really established perminently -Puppymills usually contain the most popular dog breeds, so it is advised your characters be one of the following: Labrador retriever German shepherd Golden retriever Dalmation Beagle Bulldog Yorkshire terrier Boxer Poodle Rottweiler Dachshund Most toy breeds Dogs on the higher end of this list {may also be a poodleX^__ cross} -If you do not want a character of these breeds, I must approve. Just ask nicely at the bottom of their forum -Characters must be either under 3 months or over a year -Bitches {females} over 1y 6m must have already had a litter, as only breeders are kept beyond a few months -Please no 1x1 -Once you've read all the rules please put "Puppymills are wrong" in the other section after anything you'd like to add to your forum{s} -Your dog can be optomistic, and if a pup this does not apply, but as they have social problems and have never been outside, logically they won't get along right away. That's okay AND encouraged!--to an extent -Everyone's biography is basically the same: Born there or sold to it, kept in a cage & bred {if breeder} or born there to their mother -To keep the rp realistic, I will most likely ask to make you and X user's characters related in some way if they're the same breed -I may add rules at any time -Semi-to full literate rp *Please post at least 3 sentences per character *Use as proper grammer and spelling as you can -Have fun! -:|Forum|:- Name: Age: Sex: Breed: Relatives: Personality: Biography: {Choose one} Born or Breeder Appearance: Other:  0 players like this post! It gives a lot of good, factual info on the subject -Humane Society Facts and Figures: Some quick un-roleplay-related stats -:|An important Note|:- I love to bring attention to important matters with roleplays, and this is one of them. Puppymills are terrible, inexcusable places, and I want everyone to know it. I hope the sites above the the roleplay and information opens your eyes or confirms your opinions against puppymills, and I more so hope you never adopt a puppymill dog. If you have, I won't blame you. Some people just don't know beforehand. But everyone remember there are just as good of dogs for just as little money and/or with just as much love in their hearts in shelters, with breeders, and even backyard breeders, who are majoratively better than puppymills. 0 players like this post! Eeeeyy c; Name: Maple Age: 1.5 Years Sex: Bitch (I'll probably use 'female' or 'dam' in rp though if that's alright.) Personality: Maple is a calm and maternal female, not especially hyperactive or loud. Seclusion has made her depressed and in enclosed spaces she will usually curl up in a corner for comfort and stay that way for prolonged periods, or if among other dogs she will occasionally lean against them for reassurance. This is likely to diminish after the escape, but a fear of loud noises will always leave her ducking for cover or running in the opposite direction in uncontrollable panic. Biography: Maple was born in the original Mill, and used to continue breeding. Appearance: The dam is a red-coated Golden Retriever with the characteristic floppy ears and wavy fur of the breed. Her ruddy fur is tangled with mats along the underside of her tail and round pregnant belly; also, though there are no open wounds yet, the mesh wire under her paws have left small sores on the leather pads of her toes. The poor genetic quality in the mill left Maple born with one eye, and though the empty socket is covered over by skin, it's still a shocking sight at first. Other: Puppymills are wrong! Name: Balder Age: 5 Years Sex: Dog/Male Personality: The male can be rowdy, and his current situation only forces him to the extremes as the dog obviously wants out of the mill. More often than not he is able to bash his side against his solitary kennel enough to land it upturned on the ground and has a loud baying bark that he targets almost exclusively at the mill workers, if he is fast enough he's not above taking a leak on them when they're not looking either. He is quick to react and though not the smartest dog he has his wits about him. Biography: Balder was sold to the mill owners unknowingly from a home who could not keep him when they moved. He's relatively new to the situation but has been at the mill for about four months. Appearance: Balder is a black and silver German Shepherd dog, his base coat is a light off-white colour and his mask and saddle are inky black. But nonetheless he is a German Shepherd, sporting the large perked ears, long snout and smooth back of the breed. He isn't as dirty as most of the mill dogs but he still smells pretty ripe and his tail is full of knots that he is occasionally forced to chew out. Name: Zaroff Age: 2 years Sex: Dog (male) Breed: German Shepherd Relatives: Vixen Personality: Zaroff can be a very aggressive dog, due to the treatment in the puppy mill. He, however, is very courageous and was idolized by other dogs for the ferocity he snapped at the humans when they tried to use him. He is cunning and strong. He has scars on his ears from untreated ring worm, and he has a slight permanent limp in his right leg, due to a broken limb not healing properly. Biography: Zaroff was born in the puppy mill to his mother, and he was going to be used for breeding since he was almost of age. However, she has a soft-spot for puppies and is as fierce as any other when it comes to them, especially since her first litter died due a lot of sickness they got from the puppy mill. She tries to stay as optimistic as possible, but has a hard time not pointing out every tiny little bad thing. Biography: Ylva once belonged to a little old lady, but sadly, the little old lady died landing Ylva in a shelter. A breeder, seeing that she had a white coat, decided to try to use her to breed more Chow-Chows like her, and so bought her to make more. Inside the mill, he has little energy, but is always friendly to the dogs around him unless they provoke him, but even then, his bark is worse than his bite. @West Misha is fine except dogs usually go into heat as young as 6 months but usually around 9 months. It would be unlikely {but still possible} for dogs come into heat for the first time as late as 24 months. Just want to make sure you know ;) 0 players like this post! Like? |
