In this free country, werewolves and humans have never gotten along, not since the early days of mankind. Wolves partnered with humans in order to help them survive the cold days of the early ages; wolves remained with them to steady them as the humans took their first steps.

But things change, quickly; it wasn’t even a millennia before the wolves became feared, hated, and finally, hunted.

The humans persecuted us, forcing us to fight our own brothers for their amusement. If we refused, we would be at the mercy of our captors, who dull our senses with drugs and shackle us with steel, and stain our pure bloodline with that of their tame half-wolves.

Those of us who remained after the cull were forced into hiding, because in a straightforward battle of strength, we couldn’t best their tanks and their guns.

So we went underground, disappearing off the face of the earth.

We became the thing of their nightmares, we became the tales which with they would frighten their disobedient young.

We took over the underground, the hidden force that drives this nation.

They call us monsters, but we call ourselves free.

We are going to best them, and since we must, we will do it their way.

Players will take the role of a werewolf. Further specific roles are the following:
Regular mafioso (various types inc. but not limited to - intelligence agent, stealth tracker, fighter, etc.)
Mafia sub-boss (Top boss will be an NPC, most likely)
Captured werewolf (pit fighter)
Escapee (former pit fighter, can be a “bred” pit fighter, or a captured pure werewolf)

The plot as it currently is:
The mafia is planning a break out, to increase their forces before raiding the main government building. However, intelligence arrives that the human government officials are going to hold a pitfighting spectacle sooner than planned; forcing the werewolf mafia to act sooner as well. The first pit raid is pure chaos, and several members of the raid are captured. We jump in at this point - the werewolves will not stand for the capture of their team mates, and so are planning a second raid on the day just before the pitfighting spectacle.

What you need to know before signing up:
Werewolves can transform either partly (anthro), or fully (wolf). However, there are limits on their transformations - for example they cannot transform out of either form when badly injured, under extreme duress, or when pregnant.
This is a semi-literate roleplay, meaning each IC post should have at least one juicy paragraph. Any more than that is up to you, however the minimum is one paragraph.
All OOC talk (planning, discussion, etc.) should either be in this thread, or in the main RP thread enclosed with either brackets or parentheses.
A maximum of ~5 players will be accepted, with 1 character each. Two of those spots are already reserved, one for myself, and one for my cohort Arkkael. So technically, there's ~3 spots open.
We will begin once all spots are filled, then signups will close and the RP will begin. We will not hold reservations.
