So I'm not used to drawing lions, but I really wanted to start doing it! I'm having to figure out the proportions and such, so I'd like to get some critiques by those more familiar with drawing them. I went with a cartoony Lion King style as it seemed a bit easier to get into it that way. Let me know if the proportions look okay. I used several photographs of lions as reference as well as Lion King concept art.   0 players like this post! Like? |

Not too bad. The ears are a little big, even for TLK style. But the cub is cute. And not sure what you were trying to do with the 3/4 view. Hard to describe without me actually trying to show with drawing it. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Looks wonderful already! However, here are some things I noticed: Like Mots said, the ears are a tad big. TLK style is also more rounded. I also noticed the lioness's left tooth is not placed correctly. It should be a bit further back and less visible to suit the 3/4ths view. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I really like it! I disagree that the ears are too big, I'd rather put it that I think the head is too small and the neck should be thicker. Her eyes are lovely, digging the paws, and I can't fault the cub - so cute :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I have a couple of points but overall it's quite nice n_n people above have pointed out the ears being a bit big, the muzzle/ nose is a tad long for a feline, they have a more rounded look to them normally otherwise the faces look to canine 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'll keep these in mind :) I kinda like the bigger ears on them, but I do agree that maybe the head is too small and that she may need a thicker neck. 0 players like this post! Like? |
