Earth, A place that mankind had fled from without having any thoughts on ever looking back. They took with them whatever they could grab when they boarded the Nephtesis to escape the disease that had been killing the earth. Four hundred years later, the supplies aboard the ship have become scarce, tempers are rising and fights have become more violent. But then The Plan is brought to the council leaders at the ship’s helm, to train the descendants of canines that had been taken onto the ship when they had fled earth. Equip them with cameras strapped to vests or collars and send them down to earth with the mission of finding safe havens, water sources, and recording the state of earth. But on the way down, the cameras feeding information to the ship go blind…and the engines begin to die on the ship. Now these animals are trapped on a strange planet, one some haven’t even heard about due to stories having died out, and there are hostile animals around every corner and the fact that a very violent and mutating disease may very well still be present on the planet. Will they survive and make it in this harsh new environment, or will they die out in it as well.

Platoon Rules
• The Chief is to be obeyed at all time, to back talk or even insinuate mutiny or anarchy is to be severally punished or killed.
• Food goes to the weak, pregnant, young, or crippled before others may eat. The Chief is too eat last.
• To go out after dark is to risk an unnecessary death, it is not to be done under any circumstance under punishment or being ‘Marked’ and shunned.
• If anyone is found to have the disease they are to be pushed from the Platoon and left to the elements by themselves till the disease takes them.
• To speak with an infected, get close to an infected, or become acquaintances with an infected is to be immediately put down by the Chief or General.

Conrad | Male |4 years||Medic | Location: Lake | Mentions: Ashelia, Monolith and Others (indirectly)

"Monolith is well. The rest of the platoon have all been accounted for, aside from yourself," he would momentarily pause to glance back at the smaller gathering of canines before returning his attention towards Ashelia, "But now I can confidently proclaim that we have all gotten here safely, and for that, I am glad. " he spoke with a satisfied nod.

He would continue to briskly walk forward, feeling the foreshadowing pressure of the storm driving him closer to his pack-mates as the whistling wind would whirl wildly, but he did not hesitate to continue speaking, "I hope this mistake of yours has not been one of a lost cause as a lesson has been learned, correct?" his voice rather calm and collected, with underlying tones of sympathy as he let her answer the question to herself. There was no need for any form of disciplinary lecture from him; mistakes were meant to be made, and hard to avoid- something he could understand all too well.

After a few more moments of quick travel, Conrad would approach the gathered group of the higher-ranked, but kept a respectable distance between himself and his superiors. His pointed-tail would waver at a lower angle with subtle submission as the medic would await for a pardon by the Chief to speak once the current discussion would end.

Tyra|Female|2 years |Militia | Location: Near Lake | Mentions: Vulcan and Arkin (indirectly), Iris

With a shrug, the young female would bound past the medic in the direction of the lake in hopes of discovering what all the commotion was about, but the ruckus had already died down as quickly as it had arose. Or so, she had assumed. The discussion occurring between the Chief, General and Trainees seemed like something that had best be left undisturbed, however the eavesdropping Shepherd-Mix nearby led her curiousity.

"Good Evening, Iris." the young mutt would so casually greet her fellow militia who seemed intrigued by whatever she was listening into. Upon speaking, she realised this was the first time she had uttered any words to her fellow comrade, but unfortunately the incoming storm meant there was no time for any ice-breakers or friendship-making games, so she simply went straight to the point with a lowered voice, "What is the status of everything?" she almost whispered in-attempt to not falter the female's concentration.

Lilassy|Female|3.7 Years|Eastern Timber Wolf- Black|Location: |Mentions:
__________________________
Due to the years of radiation from failed nuclear power plants, along with the absence of humans, things were much different. One of them being, wolves have grown to be much bigger. Now, Lilassy had paused. She smelled something, which seemed to be a canine. The wolf lifted her head, looking behind her, turning away from Leo. The wolf snarled, gazing into the bushes. A small, fluffy fox got up, knowing he was spotted, and trotted off. To make a point, Lilassy charged. She snapped at the fox, who quickly dashed off. Lilassy stared after it, before heading back to her meal. She ate her fill, picking up the deer carcass by the neck and dragging it away, toward the mountain. Every now and then she paused, listening and sensing for danger.

Arkin|Male|1.2 Years|American lab-Rottweiler Mix|Location: Lake |Mentions: Platoon (Indirectly I guess?)
__________________________
Arkin slowly got up, seeing that the others were ignoring him. He backed away, looking for somewhere else to sit. He sound a spot next to a tree, sitting between the roots of the giant. He sighed, shifting his weight. He watched the dogs around him, talking to each other, wondering when the storm was going to break. The occasional drop would hit the leaves above him, then plop onto his head, but he didn't bother with it. The rain didn't hurt, and he doesn't mind getting wet. It's just water...Right? Arkin sighed again, laying down with his forepaws crossed, head lying on a root. occasionally, his ears would perk and his head would pop up, looking toward the bushes or across the lake, as if he heard something. However, it was just his imagination.

Etus | Male | 1 year, 2 months | Golden Retriever/Husky Mix | Trainee(Chief) | Location: Near Camp/In Camp | Mentions: Arkin, Monolith

He tilted his head at the Chief, he felt himself become red underneath his fur. How dare she just dismiss him like that? Before be could get another word out, Arkin spoke, and he remembered that she was in fact, talking to them about the incoming rain. "Yeah, I mean, if it was acidic then everything would be dead by now." Etus spoke, basically repeating what the other had said, but more his way. Taking a few moments to think, he took a glance around him and at the lake, when suddenly, an idea popped into his head.

"Oh! Wait! What about if it rains too much and it, uh... floods! Yeah, that's the word!" Proud of himself for remembering the word, he smiled. "We should probably move camp, because if we don't the rain could just end up dr... drowning us." Those weren't words that he had found himself using very often, so it was natural for him to have partially forget them, only to luckily remember them. He had a feeling that he wasn't going to have many times to remember those types of things, so he'd have to be more on top of his game than he was before, which would be hard to beat. He barely even noticed Arkin's form trailing away and going off on his own, but didn't spend more than a second thinking about him.

Vertin | Genderless(Biologically Female) | 4 years, 7 months | Great Dane-Saint Bernard Mutt Mix | Location: Forest, away from Platoon | Mentions: Platoon(indirectly)

At last they realized that the thunder was signaling that there would be rain coming soon. Scrunching up their noses, they let out an upset snort. So far, they hadn't caught anything but a small... furry thing, which provided little nutrients for the bony creature. Huffing, they started to run up the slightly incline they were on, barely even feeling the leaves on their paws.

They had been running for quite a while, when they realized that they should begin stalking those new dogs, in case some happened to trail behind or die in the floods caused by the rain. Smirking, they scented the air, finding a faint and unfamiliar scent. Using that, they continued on their way, only in a different direction and quite slower than before. Vertin was quite a ways away from the others, so it would be quite a while until they reached them, but by then they assumed that there would already be some dead. They clearly didn't know anything about this land, so it would be the time for an easy meal.

Ashelia | Female | 3 Years Old | Borzoi x Smooth Collie Mix | Platoon Dog | Militia | Non-Infected
-
Location: Near Lake | Mentions: Conrad, Platoon

Ashelia paused just behind Conrad, as the platoon appeared to be having an important discussion of some sort and she was in no hurry to interrupt. Despite Conrad's subtle words of encouragement she still felt anxious facing the group again. Would they be upset with her for disappearing? Heavens, would she be marked? The thought sent a shudder down her spine, but she forced herself to remain in a properly submissive, but also dignified posture in front of the higher-ups. Conrad was right. A lesson had indeed been learned. She could have died out there and the entire time apart from the platoon had been rather terrifying. She was in no hurry to repeat the experience.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Leo | Male | 4 Years Old | Catahoula Cur Mix | Loner | Infected - Carrier
-
Location: Woods | Mentions: Lilassy, Platoon

Leo tensed as the wolf turned abruptly and snarled at a set of bushes across from his own position. It wasn't long before the she-wolf went snapping after a fox, chasing the famished canine off. Once she returned and took up her kill he growled softly in disappointment and turned away from her, heading in another direction. She wouldn't be of any use to him now and Leo wasn't interested in having his throat potentially torn out. Eventually his mind drifted, and once it returned to him he found himself right back where he started, staring down at the platoon dogs. Well, what was life without some risk? He supposed he'd trail them after all and just hope he didn't end up drowning in the process.

|Iris|Female| 3 years and 5 months|German Shepherd-Catahoula Mix| Mentions: Monolith (indirectly), Tyra

So intently focused on Monolith's conversation, Iris didn't register Tyra's presence until it was too late, biting back the surpised yelp that threatened to escape past her teeth. Startled sapphire eyes turned to rest on the pretty Huskey-Shepherd next to her, heartbeat thrumming rapidly in her chest as she took a breif moment to compose herself. When she finally managed to comprehend Tyra's question, shame at being caught eavesdropping caused her pelt to prickle uncomfortably, though she answered nonetheless. "Not very good, Monolith is considering moving us to the human dens. It seems the storm may bring either acidic rain or perhaps a flood" she offered with a sheepish smile, wanting to make a good impression to her comrade. Finally feeling her start to calm again, she once again cocked an ear in the chief's direction, though keeping most of her attention on Tyra as this was the first dog to approach her in three days.

Tyra|Female|2 years |Militia | Location: Near Lake | Mentions: Iris

Tyra took notice of the awkward movement coming from Iris, but didn't bother commenting to avoid creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. The young dog was naive, but curious at heart and didn't seem to see anything wrong with her pack-mate eaves-dropping. Taking a few paw-steps closer, she would come to sit beside her comrade to better listen to what she were about to say. As she sat against the soil, her gaze was drawn towards the reflective surfaces of the lake which mirrored the ominous gathering of daunting clouds in the sky.

"...To the human dens? That is quite a risk considering how vulnerable we'll be to the native creatures." she responded rather hastily as she averted her clouded gaze towards Iris, "But acidic rain and, or, a flood is just as big a gamble." the female sighed looking down at her paws, "I'm glad those decisions don't rest on my shoulders." she added. A few moments passed as the facts she had learnt sunk into her mind. She wanted to know more. With ears erect, she tried to pick up words from the conversation in the distance, but ultimately she could only hear hushed mumbles of different vocals against the thundering echos born from the sky. "Wowza, you have good hearing, Iris." she commented with an obvious smile from the corners of her lips.

((Will post Conrad's response once Monolith replies. c:))

Lilassy|Female|3.7 Years|Eastern Timber Wolf- Black|Location: Woods/Mountain|Mentions: Platoon
__________________________
Lilassy made her way up the mountain, away from the flood zone. She sat on a ledge, overlooking the world below her. In that world, were a few strange-looking dogs. These dogs were the Platoon. Lilassy tilted her head as she watched them, curious. Then, she smirked. It would be fun to mess with them a bit. I mean, they look pretty new to the area. Lilassy thought, standing. Then, the she-wolf uttering a long, low, eerie howl. She snickered, hearing her howl echo around the forest, across the lake and into the old, abandoned ruins of the town.

Arkin|Male|1.2 Years|American lab-Rottweiler Mix|Location: Lake/Camp|Mentions: Lilassy, Platoon
__________________________
Arkin suddenly popped his head up for the seventh time, perking his ears for the...tenth? twelfth? He had lost track. Anyway, he had heard Lilassy's howl, and was definitely spooked. Bits of fur along his spine had started to lift, and his eyes were wide. His body was tense, alert and ready to spring at the sign of danger. "H-Hey, guys...You heard that, right?" He said, glancing at the other Platoon dogs.

|Iris|Female| 3 years and 5 months|German Shepherd-Catahoula Mix| Mentions: Monolith (indirectly) Tyra

Iris preened under Tyra's praise, a genuine smile softening her muzzle as a small amount of tension left her shoulders. Her accute hearing had always been one of her strongest attributes, the one ability that set her apart from other canines, though she tended to refrain from bringing attention to it. "I would have to agree with you, those kind of decisions could break a dog." She replied softly, flinching slightly when a particularly loud crack thundered across the sky.

Taking a moment to study her younger comrade, Iris considered what she had observed of her fellow Militia so far, which admittedly wasn't much. All she really knew was that Tyra seemed to have a carefree and friendly disposition, though could hold her own when the going got tough, she had also noticed the other dog would excercise no matter the situation they were in, which impressed her immensly. Flicking her gaze away, so as not to be rude, she wondered why she had never encountered the female before in the human place. Realizing she had gotten lost in her own thoughts, she turned to Tyra with a question on the tip of her tounge. "What actions would you take? If you were in Monolith's pawsteps?" She inquired curiously, her eyes glancing breifly in the cheifs direction. Suddenly an echoing howl reached her ears, completely breaking her concentration and causing her hackles to raise.

(Lol I will edit this in the morning, just wanted to post it before I lost it again)

|Monolith|Female|6 years and 8 months|Tibetian-Central Asian Ovcharka Mix|The Lake|Mentions: Natasha, Arkin, Etus, Conrad, Platoon, and Lilassy(Indirectly)|
Settling back on her haunches she looked at Etus curiously, gaze flickering to Arkin with a low hum as she carefully thought over their words in silence. The only sign that the giant leader hadn’t gone catatonic was the twitching of her short docked ears, she was surveying the area around them and putting together pieces of what she hoped would be a solution to this problem. The grass here wasn’t a lush green but a yellowed green color that could signal that rain was scare, but it wasn’t dead….And since they’d been here those clouds had been approaching faster and faster but that didn’t explain the disappearance of most animals. Swinging her massive head her eyes widened as she looked over the dipping valley they were in before it fully dawned on her. ’’There has to be a reason there is no prey or even natives around, we haven’t even seen any of either since we’ve been here besides the birds,” She mumbled before her fur bristled up all along her spine as she stood up quickly and glared at the sky. ”We need to move, now. They’re all moving up to higher ground, this place is going to flood the moment it starts raining.” She snarled out, nodding to her General and Natasha’s trainee to start the Platoon moving up towards those buildings that rested on an upwards slope. Whirling around to get started on getting the pack moving, she stopped seeing Conrad, the appearance of the medic startling her but not as much as the eerie howl that rang out from the mountain slope. The normally calm leader was agitated and it showed by the way she held herself taller and glared up towards where the noise had come from with malice. A loud throaty snarl building up as she stalked past the medic and lifted her head in what amounted to more of a roar then a howl in return. Monolith refused to let her platoon be frightened by these savage mutts, refused to roll over and die when it had only been three days on this planet.
”Platoon, get ready to move out! We’re heading west to those building before this place floods.” She ordered and looked back at the scattering of dogs that were resting along the lake’s banks.

(I haven't posted cuz I always forget how many people are in the roleplay and all that- Also cuz I've been way busy. Might as well try to keep this alive while I have free time.)

Lilassy|Female|3.7 Years|Eastern Timber Wolf- Black|Location: Mountain|Mentions: Monolith, Platoon
__________________________
Lilassy growled softly, hearing Monolith's howl. She took it as a challenge. But, she would never attack a group so large. The large canine laid down, paws hanging over the edge of the rock, looking down at the Platoon. She watched Monolith give orders, and the pack started to leave. Lilassy yawned, glancing up at the threatening clouds. I wonder how heavy it will rain. She thought, standing. The wolf hopped off the ledge, starting to follow the Platoon. I'm way too curious now to not follow them. There's gotta be plenty of others at the village, and they aren't going to be happy. Lilassy turned, padding around the camp, sticking to the shadows so she wouldn't be seen. However, she forgot to hide her scent. The wind had started to strengthen, and for a few moments at a time, Lilassy was upwind from the Platoon.
(Upwind meaning that they could sense her if you don't know >.>)

Arkin|Male|1.2 Years|American lab-Rottweiler Mix|Location: Platoon idk|Mentions: Monolith, Platoon
__________________________
Hearing Monolith, Arkin immediately stood, starting to walk out of the camp. He paused for a second, trying to figure out which way was west. Giving up, he instead walked toward Monolith, feeling safer near the larger dog.
(idk what to say for him so I guess this is good)
