When you place a suggestion in front of people and ask them what they think of it/to make it more presentable, you should probably be prepared for criticism. These people weren't being harsh and saying your design was bad, they were respectfully offering you constructive criticism to help make this mane passable for Lioden standards. Because in the end, it's not as much about how many votes something has, it's about how much the suggestion will actually benefit the game and whether or not the admins think it's suitable to be added.

Artists are always going to take liberties when they draw something, no matter what it is. Part of what being an artist is about it having your own style that makes you stand out from everyone else. So do you know what that means?
It means that if this mane were to get accepted, Xylax, the game's main (and as far as I can tell, only) artist would also make changes to this himself. He's not going to just trace over your lines and add colour to it. So maybe you shouldn't be so hard on these people for changing your mane? The added suggestions follow the same basic style, they've just tweaked it a bit to closer match how Xylax himself would draw it if he were to add it to the game.

You're completely free to dislike this if you want, but I tried to work as close to what you supplied as possible while making it match Lioden's style as much as I could. Your lines are a little hard to follow and make it hard to discern where/how the fur grows, so there's a good chance this is completely wrong from how you actually picture it



But this is most likely what it would be drawn like if it were approved and ported into the official Lioden style.
