Here's my mutation idea! : Overgrown Tail or Elongated Tail - - - - - - - Females - - - - - - - - Males - - - - - - - - Cubs - - - - - - - - - Effect on game play: Yes or No (Still debating) - NO Lioness can have trouble with that thing flopping around as they run - YES Lioness could have an advantage of hunting since the longer tail is a helpful tool for short turns and balance. Has better chance bringing in larger prey (Cheetahs and Snow Leopards use this technique) [Help on this factor from Silliness #43012] Lethal: No - - - - - - - Flavor Text (Feel free to add your own!) "As you walk through your den you feel something underneath your paw and see Cub squeal and scramble to grab their long tail. Oops..." (rainsorbet #79540) "Cub wails and complains to you on how the others tug his tail and call him 'snake-lion'. You try and hide the amusement in your face." (rainsorbet #79540) "You walk past only to see Cub twirling in circles mad, after their elongated tail. They catch it, only to fall over in a fit of giggles." (Cronos Zumaki #85554) "You go to say hello to the bored female, she rolls over to her back but her eyes catch sight of her elongated tail and begins to bat at it. Ignoring your greetings." (Cronos Zumaki #85554) - - - - - - - Opinions would be cool too ^^ & Opinions on why you don't support please! |

I think this mutation would be an advantige but also a disadvantige. Because with a longer tail comes the higher risk that the tail will be steped on or grabed which could result in not only injery to the tail but the lion/lioness's bosy as well. Ex. if in a stampeed during a hunt if the tail gets steped on the lioness then is trapped for a moment and get trampled. for a male if in a battle his tail can be crabbed makeing it harder for the mutie male to escape his foe. The tail could also get snaged by something like human traps. This is the disadvantege and as others already stated balence is an adventage. This is why dogs(Hearding dogs and Cart pulling Dogs) and even horses(Carrage ulling horses and plow horses) that work on farms and sometimes hunting dogs have their tailed docked to avoid injery to the animal while they work. Other than that i think it might be an intersting mutation. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Chaos- Ah I did not think of it like that, and I didn't know herding dogs tails were docked for that reason! Thanks for your input I'll add it later probably, but good suggestion. ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe for the lioness tail design, it could be planted along the ground more and then rise up near the tail tuft (since it'd be heavier as well and also for what Rhyke said; it'd be more visually appealing). I really love the idea! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Along with a longer one though, why not a shorter? Iirc, we've got no tail and a split tail for tail mutations. Why not added both longer and shorter? If only. Lol. 0 players like this post! Like? |

ohmygosh. This is so cute, could you imagine for like cubs, or even bored females? Cub - "You walk past only to see Cub twirling in circles mad, after their elongated tail. They catch it, only to fall over in a fit of giggles." Female - "You go to say high to the bored female, she rolls over to her back but her eyes catch sight of her elongated tail and begins to bat at it. Ignoring you came to say hello." My cat chases her tail all the time and it's the most amusing thing. Support! 0 players like this post! Like? |
