i looked at the sky debating if i should walk or not as i didnt want to cause him any trouble with taking me home but shrugged it off "uh yeah a lift would be great" i say the rain only getting heavier, i shiver slightly and put my shirt on. still hoping my dad wasn't home.

I nodded a little before heading over to the car that had my father's driver "Just tell the driver where you live since he'll drive you home" I told him, I guess we would become friends.

i nodded and smiled at him "thanks" i say before getting in the car and telling the driver my address wondering how rich they were to have their own driver but shrugged it off i didn't care about money i cared about how i am treated by the person them self.

I wondered what he thought of me and guessed that he was very kind to me and I hoped that things would be ok "Thanks for standing up for me" I muttered knowing I should thank him for doing that but I could only wonder if every would be ok.

"dont mention it i would always do it" i say with a smile before mentally face palming as i forgot to ask him his name "oh and uh w-whats your name?" i ask and feel like punching myself in the face as i had to say it shyly making my cheeks tint a slight pink as i blushed.

"My names's Dean" I told him with a soft smile, I noticed the slight blush and smiled softly thinking that he looked pretty cute not that I'd tell him that because I didn't want to scare him off as that was the last thing I wanted.

"well its nice to meet you Dean" i say putting my hand out for him to shake for the second time today hoping he would shake it this time "and mines Byron, if you remember" i say with a soft chuckle looking at him. taking in his features again with a smile still thinking he was attractive even with the busted lip.

I blushed a little because I guessed I liked him we soon arrived at his place, I wondered about his family because I wanted to keep him safe, I decided to have the car wait till he went in just in case he ended up locked out or something.

i noticed him blush and a small smirk spread across my lips wondering if he felt the same way i did. as we got to my house i got out the car saying "thanks Dean" before waking to my front door letting out a shaky breath hoping my father was either sober or still at the pub but knew that probably wouldn't be the case. i opened my door and walked in closing it slightly behind me and looked around.

Once he had gone in I told the driver to drive us home, I wondered more about him mostly because I never expected him to stand up for me let alone help me but I guessed that I had made a friend which was pretty good for me, I sighed to myself for a moment.

i groaned as the smell of alcohol hit my nose knowing my dad was drunk and home the two things i hoped wouldn't happen. "Byron!" i heard my dad shout although he slurred a bit but i still went to him knowing he would be angry if i didn't "yes, sir" i said "make dinner" he demanded while giving me a punch in the face, giving me a busted lip i still didn't flinch when he did though as i was use to this sort of thing from him. i sighed and nodded going into the kitchen preparing him his dinner.

I headed to school the next day but decided to come pick Byron up first since I know knew where he lived and I was feeling a lot better about going to school because I now had a friend. I wondered for a moment what would happen to day,

i was glad my father didnt do any thing else last night so all i had when i went to school was a busted lip and i would have no one asking questions. i walked outside to start heading for school as i was still fixing up my motorcycle, but saw Dean waiting there in his car making a smile spread across my face as i walked over.

I opened the door so he could come in, I noticed something seemed wrong "What happened?" I asked noticing that he had a busted lip, I knew he hadn't had that yesterday so I could assume it happened while he was at home which worried me a bit.

i got into the car and looked at him confused but then remembered my lip "nothing" i said not meaning to sound harsh or any thing when it came out, "i ran into a tree when i went for a run" i lied knowing i couldn't tell him the truth as i would have to move again but i really didnt want to as i liked it here....well i like a person here.
