He smiles at the two small apprentices. "Okay, so let's start out easy. Do either of you know how to do the hunters crouch?"

"I-I think I do." Sagepaw replied. He slowly crouched down, head held just above his paw, tail barely touching the ground. "Is this it?"

"Yes, good job Sagepaw! Just remember to keep that rear down, and you'll be an expert!"
Darkstar purred. "So, do you know any combat moves? I wouldn't be surprised."

Littlepaw attempts to do a hunters crouch, but immediately messes it up, losing her balance and falling onto her side.

He loves apprentices, he felt like it was the only time he could actually be a father.

Littlepaw tried once more after getting up, crouching low. Her tail and ears kept twitching with the nervousness of messing up in front of the leader. The rest of it was pretty alright, but her tail and ears were moving like a rabbit held by the ears.

Littlepaw

Littlepaw dipped her head then raced back home. She began to familiarize herself with the herbs, and grabbed a leaf with an idea. She decided that the first one was too small, so she found a large leaf, big enough to do something or hold something on. She tore a mark with her claws into the leaf, then ripped a bit of a herb off and licked it, placing it on the leaf. She continued this with several herbs, remembering what these markings meant. Soon she wouldnt need it, and remember what each leaf was just by thinking about it for a second. but for now, she would use the list to remember.
(How's that for new tech in the cat world? Haha!)

Mistela was running down the street. Her heart was pounding so loud she thought it would pound right out of her chest. And she was loving every second. She had stolen a piece of chicken someone had thrown away, after she had heard some other cats from the forest planning to steal it. She rounded the corner, and she saw the green trees come into view. She raced down into the woods, and her nose was immediatly was filled with scents if other animals. She slowed a bit to start nibbling the chicken. After getting through about half, she heard the cats approaching and she grinned. She predicted the poumce from the grey tom and she turned and flung him deeper into the forest. She began running again but the orange tom flung himself, causing her to tumble. They began scratching and biting, the yowling filling the forest.

Darkstar stretches in his nest, licking his fur. He got absolutely no sleep last night, and he hopes that he doesn't take it out on the apprentices by being mean later.
Padding out into the camp, he takes the last piece of fresh kill they had, slowly eating half of it.
The apprentices will have to do some hunting today.
The slightest noise pricked his ears from the distance, but he brushed it off, going over to the apprentices den to wake them up.

The fighting moved down the forest floor until they rolled down into a ditch. The sound of the Thunderpath filled her ears. She jumped up and quickly looking, ran across the expanse. She reached the other side, barely dodging a a beast that roared by.
"That ought to stop them!" But instead of stopping pursuit, the rival cats ran across the path and continued the chase. "They just won't give up," she laughed. "Of course, I wouldn't either."
She began running into this new part of the forest, and the cats circled around her, hissing. She pounced, and the fighting began again.
And all of this for a piece of chicken, she laughed to herself.
