CloudStar softly groomed LeopardKit's head, purring soothingly to try letting the small kit know he was in no danger. LeafKit laid down, trying to look small so he'd show LeopardKit that he meant no harm and only wanted to be friends. Misty, slowly, got up and softly mewed "i'll let all of you be alone" she mewed softly, brushing out of the nursery when CloudStar nodded

Her ears pricked up when Oddeye's foot steps had suddenly stopped and quickly whipped around. She stared at him as he limped towards her. Dewflight simply used her paw to point at Oddeye paw, "Aren't you going to take it out?" She didn't have time for such antics. "Hurry up," She said before turning away to continue herb gathering and sniffing closer to the ground.

Dewflight's words struck Oddeye like a rock. He felt so stupid. He immediately took the thorn out of his paw and kept following. He didn't want to talk, afraid to embarrass himself even more. He gathered the herbs that windclan would probably need, such as coltsfoot, comfery, and cobwebs. The cobwebs were hard to find among the grass and prey.

Dewflight continued to gather herbs in silence, surprised that Oddeye hadn't said much. She began to feel bad for him; he was helping her after all and he had gathered many herbs. To break the cold shoulder, she picked raspberry leaves and pushed them towards Oddeye. "Chew it up and put it on your paw," she instructed. She hoped it wasn't that hard of a task and kept a close eye in case things went wrong.

Leopardkit slowly relaxed and purred gently at the licking. It reminded him of his real mother a bit, yet, he knew it wasn't actually her. But it calmed him down a lot. Enough to let his guard down around these strange cas who had taken him into their home.

"Sure!" Hollyfeather meowed with an amused purr, Oakpaw reminded her of herself when she was an apprentice.
Hollyfeather stretched then casually padded over to a spot near the camp entrance. She started waiting for Oddeye to come back to camp, in her head she started thinking of how to tell the fib.
'Hey Oddeye, guess what! Oakpaw and I chased this huge tortoise shell Riverclan tom out of our territory this morning!' Hollyfeather thought to herself, that would work!

A colder breeze blew across the field and Dewflight. She could tell that the herb gathering season was ending and walked back to Oddeye. "This is enough, let's go," She paused in front of him. She looked at the amount of herbs he had gathered and she was surprised, it was more than the other warriors that helped. I should thank him... Somehow She thought. It was unlike of her to do such a thing but Oddeye had been very helpful. With herbs in mouth, she muttered, "Good job" and began to walk back to camp.
