Marie looked at all the choices of seats, and decided to go next to the wall toward the middle. That way she would only have Zuriel on her side, and two people in front of and behind her. A bit of the nervousness came back into her stomach, but she tried to calm herself down. No one had really seemed to notice yet that she was there, a new student to talk about. While listening to the teacher, Marie tried to listen to what they were saying. It was mostly about the assignment today, but focusing was proving to be difficult with Zuriel's hand on hers. Zuriel watched the teacher and zoned out slightly as she talked. He was remembering when he ran away from the orphanage. They didn't care about him and no one ever wanted him.
