So, to quote the news post for the release of beetles, "When your beetles die, they become unusable, collectible items in your hoard." That's cool! But what would be even cooler, in my opinion, would be if your beetle corpse collection was somehow visible to the public. That's why I suggest a beetle display case! Entomologists and museums often display pinned insects in display cases like this one:  We could have an option in the drop down menu of our beetle corpses to add it to the display. The case itself could have silhouettes of the beetles we're missing. I would definitely have fun trying to get all the different species and color morphs to complete the collection! It would also make new beetle releases more exciting, particularly if certain species were to be rarer than others/event exclusive. Let me know what you think about my idea! |

I can see it going both ways, especially since the items required to make a decor would have to be 30. To collect thirty identical beetles could be costly, unless you have a constant breeding pair.  0 players like this post! Like? |

Beetles ARE already an item, so allowing you to display them should be no biggie as coding goes- because they are treated in the database once dead, as a feather or lion skull, etc- craftable! Maybe they could just offer different 'backgrounds' for the already-existing Showcase areas? So that one was specifically a beetle-display, with the base like a frame and pad and pins... so that when you fill the slot with an item it covers the pin shaft and still has some sticking out of the bug! :D @xylax @kitty (does tagging happen here?) is that do-able? 0 players like this post! The showcase is at the bottom of your profile, next to the achievements and dynasty. The link to create one from there is completely broken. The amount of players who have and use the showcase is probably extremely low... because even if the link did work it would cost 4 gb to make! http://www.lioden.com/showcase.php Here's a working link to create a showcase. Ah ok that gives better context. I think at the very least we should get to see what the showcase looks like before they make us pay for it, I can't even remember this ever being mentioned in the news post But I like your idea with the dynasty aspect I like a challenge >:) and I breed for stats, looks and variety so it'd be nice to show off :P 0 players like this post! I tried to use the showcase and even paid the 4GB, but the problem with it is that the things you put in the showcase still stay in your hoard. :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd like a legitimate beetle showcase... the one we have now is lacking. I filled it up with beetles, bought out as many rows as I could with sb - and I have to pay gb for a whole new page... which messes up the order I had/have my beetles in (alphabetically or something? By species then color). So yeah, I support. The current showcase would be great for showing off decor or other items, but not really all that ideal for the beetles themselves. (Especially for the price to open said showcase!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I still really want this to be a thing, if not a showcase then at least a list you can share of your profile to state which ones you've had and which ones you still need (there's a new suggestion going around for a list as well) but I like this much better than turning beetles into amusement items. What's the point of collecting different beetles for their rarities if they're just going to get swatted around when they're dead? 0 players like this post! Like? |

I feel like this would be cool but kind of unreasonable. Sure, you may want to preserve a rare beetle when it dies, but how often do you check your pride dynasty? How often do you check other players' pride dynasties? Eventually you're going to forget about it and then it will have been a waste of SB. I haven't bought the display myself but you can put the beetle's item/corpse in there and leave it at that. There doesn't need to be a whole complicated system just for beetles you're probably going to forget about in the near future. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I bought the Showcase but it didn't work the same as a display case would. I was expecting it to take the beetles out of my hoard/inventory but they stayed and didn't clear out the space. 0 players like this post! Like? |
