Firstly, I apologize if this is in the wrong sub section. But let's get to it, shall we? My suggestion is simply this: To have a check box in our user settings that would allow the game to give us Green bar (Like our red bars for News Updates) Reminders of certain features. Like say you send out a hunt; It would give you a green bar when the hunt has finished saying something like "Call back Lionesses/Huntresses". Send out a Patrol? "Call back Submale" or something. And when events are Happening, to use the July event as an example, "Visit Cloud Forest" or "Return from Zimbabwe Exploration". I miss about half the things on this site because I forget entirely that I've sent out a hunt or a Patrol, and I'm someone so scatterbrained I forget to set my own reminders and timers, so to have something like this that would be a one time "click the check box" deal would be incredibly helpful. |

Maybe that would help some of you: I'm using http://e.ggtimer.com/. I have one for hunting (30 min) and one for patrol (1 hour). It will give you sound when time hit 0 seconds and there is an option for system dialog pop-up. It helps :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

I like your idea. A lot of the time when i sent lionesses hunting and sub male patrolling i would forget that i have lionesses hunting and a sub male patrolling. A reminder would help me. I joined lioden in march of 2016 this year. So i still forget i have male lions patrolling and lionesses hunting. I can see how this would be helpful during the monthly events. 0 players like this post! Like? |

i support this suggestion, but if it is alright with you Noni, may I offer a suggestion? If the reminders are going to operate just like News Post notifications, then it would be slightly inconvenient for members such as myself, who don't regularly refresh the page or click on different links often. So we may not receive the reminders as soon as possible. What if we have a pop up notification option as well, similar to what some timers such as Task Timer or Facebook uses. Whenever something relevant occurs such as a hunting party finishes their hunt or a subordinate male has finished his patrol, a pop up notification can appear at the bottom right-hand screen for laptops and desktops and mobile users can have standard notifications appear at the top of the screens. This is will be completely optional, if there are some members who would prefer not to be spammed with notifications.  0 players like this post! Like? |

@Meskhenet I see what you're saying, and maybe having both options would be better. But I'm no coder, and I'm not sure if having pop ups on the site would be harder to code in, rather than basically duplicating existing code. You've also got to consider that something that pops up on the screen at random might be heavier on the servers than something the simply loads with the page, like the bars. Again, I do see your point, but from a more back-end perspective, Bars are probably more Do-able than Pop ups. And yeah, the Bars would be totally optional anyway. Just a check box to activate them, and if you find yourself getting better with checking your things on your own, you can always turn them back off. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I would very much like this to become a feature in the game! I think it would be very helpful for more casual players like myself or anyone who happens to maybe get distracted or those of us who don't want to have to set timers just to get all of our hunts in for the day. With possibly a way to turn the notifications off (Perhaps in the Account Options area?) I can't see how this feature wouldn't benefit people! (I'm also not sure if instant notifications could be coded into Lioden? The only other adoptable/sim site I know of that does have them is Pokefarm so maybe it could be something like that? Though if it's not possible, or at least not possible right away, I'd much rather have the header bars at least to start with because even that would be immensely helpful) 0 players like this post! I like the idea of a reminder but I don't want a green bar because that potentially makes the page very cluttered. I think a couple of small symbols next to the "view your cooldowns" link would be better Just imagine if you had beetles battles, hunting, patrolling, messages, forum notifications AND a news post when you came back from a short hiatus or something. It's like being flooded if you really want to have bars then there should be an option in settings to switch it off Edit: just saw you've posted something about this being optional, maybe make it clearer in your original post? also in response to meskhenets popup alternative. I get how it'd be a more useful solution but personally notifications like that really annoy me because they tend to happen while you're trying to something else and it's like swatting flies so again I'd want to be able to switch them off 0 players like this post!
