I've had this idea for quite some time. I can't be the only person on Lioden that loves dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts? I think a clan where paleonerds can get together to talk and have fun is a really neat idea. In the clan thread there would be an extinct creature spotlight every week, written by our members on a turn-taking basis. There would be raffles, giveaways, and discounts, of course. We could discuss not only ancient animals, but also more recently extinct ones (passenger pigeon, thylacine, ect) and even ponder on the posssibiliy of de-extinction science! I even have the perfect mascot: Akiak the Saber-toothed Cat!   0 players like this post! Like? Edit Post |

This is a cool idea. I love the idea of it for sure, and I'm sure I can include a few species if chosen for a spotlight. I have a lot of favorites, and some are probably lesser known. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Could you join to learn? I've always wanted to learn about this stuff more but i never know where to start looking. Maybe something like a "creature of the week" type deal where you can theme things to it or just have a few interesting facts. It'd be almost like an event of sorts I guess. I was wondering like Ace because the most prehistoric exposure I got was when I played Zoo Tycoon 2 when I was younger. The expansion pack was certainly enjoyable, but I was never interested beyond the game because dinosaurs weren't a common subject I suppose? Of course you can join to learn more! Learning about these animals is all part of the fun! I admit that I'm not the best source for information on dinosaurs themselves (as I said I'm more of a mammal person) but I'm sure it would be very easy to dig up some really cool info and plan some awesome events! 0 players like this post!
