Her trainer scratched under her chin as he turned back toward the woman in front of him, "Greetings, my name is Cecil Averyn, and I am from Solaceon Town in Sinnoh," he said, giving a small, respective dip of his head. He dropped his arm and pointed down at the ground, signaling for his Jolteon to leap down from his now tired shoulder.

Bailey laughed along with Keith's joke. He seemed like a good guy, and in a way, it was kind of comforting to have met someone from her region right off the bat.

When Alex said that he was the Sinnoh champion, Bailey's jaw dropped. "Uh, actually, no, he didn't tell me that. Wow. I'd hoped to meet you someday, maybe to challenge you to a battle, but I--wow." Blue stood and pressed his head comfortingly into her hand, feeling his trainer's surprise and anxiety. "You must have some really powerful Pokemon, right?"

A startled yelp escaped Kili's muzzle when a particularly large wave crashed into his face, forcing him to retreat much to Jake's relief and bringing a smile to her lips as she felt Draco's tense muscles relax under her. Despite his intimidating looks, the arcanine cared deeply about his makeshift family and would sometimes become quite the worrywart. Shaking off the water from his golden-white pelt, Kili's crimson eyes caught the gaze of a dark haired trainer standing among two others, one grey haired male and a female with long dark hair. When he noticed the other pokemon around them, his tails began to twitch excitedly.

Sensing the shift in Kili's mood, Jake attention also turned to the group, sighing when she realized what was going through the nintails head. "Kili no! When we get to a quiter spot you can run until your hearts content, but for now you need to relax," she scolded, pushing back the pang of guilt as Kili's expression fell, reluctantly trudging back to her side. Running her fingers through his soft fur apologetically, she knew that if she had let him go chaos would have been ensured.

Alex chuckled, "Yes, my newest members need to catch up, but my others are as strong as they can be, or close to it! Had to take a whole year off doing digs just to train!"

Keith raised an eyebrow, "Just training? You were talking to that viking guy, right? The one with all the weird body art?"

Alex grew a bit red with that mention, looking away from Keith, who gave a hoot of amused laughter. "He only gave me Majora, and she was quite helpful! I'm surprised that in a whole year I got her and Dig and still got them strong enough to do me well in the League! But! Well, back to it. I do get a few trainers that challenge me, but its usually not that bad- those that even get far enough to see me usually get asked to become gym leaders, haha!"

"Gym leaders! I'd love to become a gym leader some day. That's, like, the dream." Bailey sighed and smiled ruefully. "I guess I'll probably have to get some more Pokemon first though. Blue's my only one, and I'd probably have to train him up a bit first too." But would she even be skilled enough to catch another Pokemon? She hadn't really caught Blue--he'd been a gift from her brother. Alex had mentioned a Pokemon named Majora, but she had no clue as to what kind of Pokemon that nickname belonged to.

Bailey looked back at Keith. "That Klefki is yours, right? Where'd you get him from?"

Cecil smiled, inviting the other trainer to a handshake. "Indeed, there is much history in Sinnoh. I've been to Johto a few different times, but this is only my second time in Unova. I don't remember much about the area, so hopefully I find my way around," he said, gazing along the waterside buildings. He kept casting short glances toward the Bronzong, growing slightly weary of its presence. Suddenly, his pocket shook, and out popped Colbalt. The Empoleon stood defensively at its trainer's side, glaring in the levitating Pokemon's direction.

Cecil sighed, plopping his forehead in his palm, "And this is Colbalt, one of my very first Pokemon. He hatched in my home a few days after I was born, so we have plenty of history together. Unfortunately, he tends to be a bit...overprotective." He sent a glare in the Empoleon's direction, but its eyes were held firmly on the Bronzong.

Both guys gave a good-natured chuckle. "I mean, most Leaders I've heard about either are really passionate, in the right place in the right time, or are named successors. The city really comes in with that request, I heard, so it's probably...eh" Alex shook his hand, trying to convey it was pretty wishy washy.

Keith perked up at the mention of his Klefki, jerking a finger to her, "Oh! She's... I dunno. We've been togetehr since before I could remember! So I guess she's from Snowpoint!"

She let out a chuckle, shaking his hand. "Kyoto, leave him alone, gosh." She laughed, the Bronzong giving a tone of disapproval aimed at her Trainer. Blitz grunted at the Empoleon, narrowing his eyes. "Oh, Blitz, don't you start too." Aria groaned, putting her hand on his Pokeball threateningly. "Sorry about my Blaziken... He's the type to seek out fights. Hell, a few minutes before you got here, he was trying to pick a fight with an Aerodactyl." She sighed as she turned back toward her starter Pokemon, who had crossed his arms and turned away. "He might seem rude, but he's just trying to protect his team and I. He probably thinks Cobalt is trying to initiate a fight... And Blitz is probably all for it. Unfortunately, the rest of my party probably isn't." She finished with a laugh.

"With an Aerodactyl?" Cecil asked, his eyes growing large with surprise. He had seen very few of those Pokemon in his adventures as well. He had considered adding one to his team, but never followed through, fearing that it wouldn't be a successful addition. Aria's Blaziken was rather amazing as well, appearing to be in top condition. Colbalt grunted, still standing tall by its trainer's side, eyes now fixed on the woman. Citrine was still sitting at his feet, wide eyes staring up at the Empoleon. "Easy, bud," Cecil murmured calmly, his tone soft, yet commanding.

Gazing back toward Aria, he smiled, "So, I'd assume you are here for the Battle Tower Challenge too?"

"I'm thinking about it." Aria responded, "I just live here. No real reason to it, but I might sign up. Who knows? Could be fun." She lied easily. A large event such as that requires six Pokemon, and it's likely televised. "I do have a barricade between my capability to sign up and actually competing, unfortunately." She sighed, glancing over at Kyoto. "I only have five Pokemon, and it likely requires six Pokemon to compete. It'd be impossible to raise another Pokemon to be at level with, say, Blitz, by time the challenge starts."

"Ah, good point," Cecil murmured, exchanging a glance with Colbalt, "I currently have five with me as well, but perhaps my friend would be willing to give me one of his Pokemon to use." His friend, Garrett, had won over the Elite Four in Sinnoh, but denied the position as champion because he wanted to pursue contests as well. It seemed as if he had caught one of each Pokemon that inhabited the region. Surely one of them would be useful for the challenge. "I can see how that would be hard though. I have been training with my five for a long time after all," he said, rubbing his Empoleon behind the neck.

Colbalt let out a joyful cry, lifting a wing to grab at Cecil's head playfully. The trainer put his hands up, attempting to push the large limb away and proceeded to leap onto the Pokemon's back, hands wrapped around the front of it as it danced in circles, trying to throw him off.

Blitz scoffed with a huff, quickly grabbing her bracelet that held her Key Stone, attempting to flip it over. "Wha.. HEY!" She snapped, trying to free herself of the Blaziken's grasp. Kyoto freaked out as well, becoming outlined in a blue aura, similarly to Blitz, using Psychic to force him to let go, and ultimately blast back. Her bracelet had been moved slightly, revealing a shiny pink object on the opposite side of her Key Stone, and she quickly moved it back so only the Key Stone was visible. "Erm... Sorry about that whole thing. I don't know what's gotten into him..." Aria sighed, grabbing Blitz' Pokeball and withdrawing him into the shiny orb as he was getting up from hitting the ground a couple meters away.

Giving Kili one last gentle stroke, Jake switched her attention to Draco, the Arcanine staring steadily back at her as she ran her fingers through the long fur on top of his head. "So we are finally in Hoenn... I know we came to compete in the promotion challenge, but are you sure? All of you agreed and are more than capable but this will not be a walk in the park..." Draco cut her off mid sentance by nudging his massive head against her shoulder, Levi giving an irritated huff when his body was also swayed by the force. Jake understood Draco's meaning though, and he was right, she needed to stop worrying. The decision was made and now all she could do was stick with it, she had a strong team by her side and they were more than ready to face this new adventure.

So engrossed in her conversation with Draco, Jake neglected to notice Kili's self control crumbling, and the next thing she knew the Ninetails was gone. Looking up sharply, she saw he was headed straight towards the group with the Luxio and Klefki. "KILI NO!!" She shouted hopelessly, grabbling Levi close to her chest as she bolted to her feet and chased after Kili, Draco hot on her heels.

By the time she caught up to the energetic pokemon it was too late. He was already prancing around a poor guys feet, trying to get a better look at the small klefki. "I am so sorry! I took my eyes off him for one moment and he was gone!" she apologized, sending her troublesome Ninetail a disappointed glare which was promptly ignored. Looking back up, she gave the group a sheepish smile, hugging Levi closer as the blue and black Umbreon studied the strangers before them. Draco too was also looking down at them, but his focus was on the male trainer with grey hair and eyes, sensing a strong aura that raised his hackles.

Both men looked up the moment someone shouted, wondering what was causing the commotion. Though, they had different reactions to seeing a Ninetails hurtling towards them. Alex was quick to back away, already reaching for his pokeballs, narrowing his eyes at the fire-type. Keith just looked overjoyed, while Tinks was desperately tapping her eyes against his shoulder, looking a bit distressed at a fire-type charging towards her trainer.

The Ninetails was happy to slow and start prancing about Keith, who quickly started to turn around, not realizing the pokemon was following his Klefki, who was following Keith's shoulder. It was a self-sustaining merry-go-round. Alex had his Pangoro by his side. Dig was giving a small laugh at the proceedings, ignoring the glare Alex leveled at him. Everything stopped when the Ninetails' trainer came forwards, letting the pokemon finally catch up to the Klefki it was chasing.

"That tends to happen when you have most of your team out," Alex quipped, eyes flicking from pokemon to pokemon, lingering on the Umbreon for a few seconds more.

"He's a cute guy, though- or girl! Safe to pet?' Keith immediately turned to the newcomer, elbows out and hands hovering near his chest, just above Ninetails height.
