I'd suggest that rains during the night. Besides the fact that they need to clean their wounds, they wouldn't last long in the next day because of the heat. Or perhaps during the early morning; The fire would die.

What the heck, it's supposed to be challenging, Lego. The fire will die eventually. :v

Depends on how much wood you throw into it and how covered. Even in the morning you'll have embers buried in ash. Might be hard to get a fire started, but I remembered doing it while camping with my geology class.

I'd say maybe have it rain in the morning because then they don't freeze during the night? Considering the only shelter is really the trees right now

Perhaps making a shelter over the fire would be nice, though it would only be a stupid idea if it's not high enough. That would be also a problem considering time.

EDIT: That's a good option too, Cosmos. Yas, yas.

Winds likely would only make it uncomfortable to be on the beach, inland it'll be warmer, but markedly cooler. Trust me, when its warm where I live, I can go to the beach and be cold! If the island is tropical, the temp's unlikely to drop below 60 even when raining and night. It'd be considered a cold snap and be a bit bad for the broadleaf plants you'd find in tropics.

A sheltered fire would likely be made the next day, a short chimney made outta palm leaves would work. Provides a place for smoke to escape while blocking a good portion of rainfall.

Yes I know shelter is a good idea but right now they wouldn't have nearly enough time to form a good one.. or one to hold that many people.
And I was just going off of what I know about living by the ocean, but I suppose where I live isn't exactly tropical either though so I still have some researching to do.

I agree. So only a campfire for now, and shelter and stuff the next day.

EDIT: It's reasonable. I'm just too excited, lmao.

I doubt you live norther than I do, I'm in NJ, lol. Though I do remember being in key west and its about the same. Windy and probably gonna need a jacket at night, warm and balmy during the day.

Also... keep in mind its hellish to make a fire from scratch unless you have experience. I kinda still use lighters, not doing shit with sticks and tinder.

I don't plan on leaving it easy for Athena. xd

Also, i imagine the beach kinda like Ark, but of course with the references that Cosmos gave. I need to constantly erase the walking Dodos from my mind.

Ah ARK, I sorely needa get back to playing that after someone totes burned me outta liking that game. A shame, really. Hopefully my SO can find the memory on their comp to play with me.

As for images, i'm kinda referencing these two

Actually I live in Canada so Im about as North as you get.. well, in North America. That's why I don't have much experience with tropical islands ^^' and yes I hate making fires from scratch.. But I was hoping that maybe some stuff could float onshore? Maybe luggage.. or (might be a bit too much of a long shot for me) a first aid kit.. emergency stuff they have on planes?..

First aid and lighter material I can see washing up, like larger pieces of plane metal. Luggage might have just sunk unless part of the plane vomited up over the island, and I assume drift just washed people ashore. Larger parts of the plane likely would just sink. Luggage would be more of a long shot, lmao.

Ah, yes that slipped my mind. Must be a Saturday, aha. Maybe I could have Jaxton find some sort of container on his way back ?
