Rajeer paced quietly in the large cats enclosure, waiting for the admirers outside the bars to clear out so that the zookeepers could close the zoo.
He stood on top of the cave on the far left side of the enclosure. Though the other cats called it a mountain, Rajeer had seen much bigger mountains, ones that would make this one seem like a small boulder. He caught a couple of the ladies staring at him and batting their eyelashes, and he winked back as they giggled cutely.
Catching a familiar scent in the air, he perked up. Old frail Arnold, holding a large bucket, came lumbering slowly around to the front of the enclosure.
Rajeer leapt off the cave and bounded down, ignoring the small crowd of females trailing him.

"Good evenin' ladies and gents," Arnold chuckled, scooping up various meats in his gnarled hands and tossing them into the enclosure. He reached out to stroke Rajeer's soft pelt, who leaned in, growling with delight.

Zen heard Arnold's soft voice and bounded over. Rajeer was already there and she, being an energetic young adult leaped over and playfully jumped over him. Her spotted fur shined in the low sun of the afternoon and she soared over the other large cat. She laughed and rubbed against Arnold affectionately. She had never known anyone else who was as sweet as him. Of course she didn't know anyone else so of course he was the nicest! She rolled over on the ground, showing her soft white stomach as she looked up at Rajeer. She knew he would probably shoo off her energy, but she was so happy, and she knew Rajeer wouldn't risk hurting old Arnold to bat her off well enough to make her go away.

|Kallie|Zebra|
Kallie trotted back and forth, whipping her head up and down. As much as she loved the people admiring her stripes, this zebra was getting antsy. Her hooves took her to the enclosure border between the zebras and elephants. "Hi Raja! I'll come back to talk to you later." Kallie turned and trotted another lap around the enclosure. She wanted to have fun without the prying eyes of the people. She galloped over to Pearl, "Do you want to race? I bet I could win!" Kallie pranced in a circle around the pale zebra. She hadn't even notice the zookeeper filling up the grain buckets.

|Raja|Elephant|
Raja lumbered around until he came up to one of the toys hanging from the tree. His trunk flicked the hanging bag back and forth and back and forth. He was tired and calm like he always was. Raja was beginning to doze off when Kallie was suddenly at the fence dividing them. "Oh, hi, Kallie." He paused, blinked and then continued, "Okay. Talk to you later," he mumbled sleepily. Raja kept hitting at the tree until his eyes closed and he was asleep.

|Hahju|Tiger|
Hahju was spread out in the evening sunlight, peacefully snoozing when he heard Rajeer's thankful growl. He rolled his eyes and stood up. Time to eat, he thought, walking over to Arnold. Hahju sat back a distance from the other big cats, until he got impatient. He curled his lips in a snarl and charged to the front, growling at the others. He started to chow down on the pile of food closest to Arnold. The tiger looked over at Rajeer and narrowed his eyes threateningly. His gaze then turned to Xena who was jumping around like she had ants in her pelt. "Why don't you run of, kitty!" He growled, showing his long teeth.

|Leah Smith|Human|
Leah mixed the appropriate grain and medication into each of the animal's buckets. She had been assigned the African herbivores since her first day and has since memorized all the animal's food requirements. Kallie needed extra protein grain, Raja needed allergy medicine, and Pearl... Leah recited each of combinations as she mixed them. Once finished, she carried all the zebras buckets out and poured them in each of their containers. She whistled for the zebras to come up. Lead went back to the storage area to do the same withe the rest of the African herbivores.

Xena bared her teeth at the tiger.
"Why don't you make me grump butt?" she said, turning around and waiving her butt at him.
She gulped down some meat and stood at the chain fence and looked out. A few humans stopped to look at her. She roared which made them jump and let out little screams. She smiled and turned back toward Rajeer

Belle growled in disbelief as she watched Rajeer. She snorted slightly, then Watched as he sucked up to the old keeper, Arnold. Deciding she was hungry, Belle followed him, purring and rubbing herself against Rajeer, not the keeper. "Hello Rajeer, what's for lunch?" she asked in a silky tone.

Artemis paced around the wolf enclosure, stretching and jogging. She was excited for the first hunt, the usual schedule was live prey in the morning and frozen meat in the evening. When she heard the familiar scuttle of the prey, she let out a short howl before bounding over.

Pearl - Common Zebra
The pale coated zebra had been dozing in the shade when the soft sound of approaching steps alerted him to the presence of Kallie. He rose his head peering at his fellow zebra, rotating his ears forward in interest, "I'll take you up on that bet," he said a lazy smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he added with a nod towards the zoo keepers, "But, the winner gets first dibs on treats when they come around."

Kozak - Siberian Tiger
The large tigress lay sprawled out on the sunning rock, her head resting on her paws as she flicked her tail for her cub to chase. The smell of meat and the old keeper, Arnold, caught her attention and looked over to where the other big cats were gathering. Stretching slowly as she rose, shook off Kolache, and began walking over in her typical stalking fashion. Upon arrival she flicked her tail as an order for Kolache to stop a couple feet away while she shouldered past the others, taking a mouthful of meat and taking it off to the side before eating.

|Kallie|Zebra|
"You're on! Prepare to loose, you lazy bum!" She teased playfully, nudging his shoulder with her nose. "How 'bout from here to the Okapi enclosure and then back to the Elepbant enclosurek? Sounds good?" Kallie kept up her long strides around Pearl, unknown to her that she was tiring herself out.

|Hahju|Tiger|
Hahju growled again, his claws unsheathing. He slashed his claws at the closest cat, which happened to have been Kozak. The long claws scored her shoulder, but not hard enough to draw blood. He narrowed his eyes at her and charged up, growling at her with her meat. Hahju didn't really know himself why he was being so rude to everyone. Probably a thorn in his rump or something.

Rajeer winked back at Belle. "I don't know. Wanna find out, beautiful?" he smirked, snagging a piece of meat with a claw and dragging it back.

Arnold chuckled happily, stroking each animal's pelts lovingly as he gave divided the meat equally.

Kolasis stood in the back, his eyes narrowed and his stomach wriggling with nervousness. He didn't like when all of the others crowded around Arnold. He always waited until the rush was over before padding up. Those other cats made him feel uneasy and unsafe.

Belle narrowed her eyes, but decided to join him anyways. More food for the others. Before Rajeer could take a bite of his meat, she darted in. Quickly grabbing a large bite with sharp teeth, she raised her head, politely chewing as she stared at Rajeer, her muzzle only inches away from his face.

Xena saw Kolasis far in the back watching everyone and waiting for all the other cats to clear out. She swished her tail and ate another piece of meat before looking to Rajeer and glared at Belle.
"She just wants to eat your food you know" she muttered, grooming her long spotted tail and back legs. her whiskers still had droplets of blood on them and she licked them off almost seductively.

Rajeer grinned, and licked the blood on her muzzle. "Watch out now, babe. Don't want to mess up that beautiful pelt of yours," he growled, almost a playful challenge.

Belle sat up suddenly, a little shocked but that behaviour was to be expected. She nodded with a slight tail flick, "she's correct, I am hungry.". Belle replied in an irrated tone, yet she still leaned closer. "Your right, my pelt is beautiful" she said in a purr, moving so she was now beside Rajeer. She stroked him with her long tail, purring.

Pearl - Common Zebra
Pearl lifted his nose in mock indignity at Kallie's comment, but quickly lost the offended expression as he once again listed his head to look to the starting and end point. "Sure does!" He said, kicking up a bit of dirt with his front hooves to get the blood flowing as he made one of those strange zebra noises.

Kozak - Siberian Tiger
Claws slid across her shoulder, not quite penetrating her skin, but scrapping the surface and surely getting rid of some fur. She dropped the slabs of meat as she whipped around to face the male, letting a low reverberating growl rip through her chest in response to his, "You want to try that again?" She spat having squared off her shoulders and risen to get full height, looking down ever so slightly at Huhja (assuming he's an average sized Bengal, if not I'll change this).

Kolache - Siberian Tiger
The young cub backed away from the conflict between his mother and Huhja, all the way until he had collided with a solid pole. But upon closer inspection, and a timid glance up, he found he had actually ran into the leg of a lion. Kolasis' leg to be precise. Tumbling away Kolache bowed his head, "I'm sorry!" He squeaked.
