This idea isn't quite a mutation but a condition caused by other cubs biting the ear or even insects eating the cartilage is which causes the ear to flop and barely can move. So this could only appear if the cub is born with siblings. It has no chance when its with a litter of 1. This isn't lethal! And it can appear on either ear! So maybe it could show up in adol stage since we aren't going to see their interactions when they are first born which causes this. This shouldn't be a scar item as that would literally require a overlay of lines which in this case would have to some how factor in the ear plus all markings that effect the ear area. So it would be a "Mutation" as it would need its own smallish line change. When it will show up: ~ 5 months after its weaned from its mother (only if the cub has siblings in the litter) ~ Adol (only if the cub has siblings in litter) Other ideas of when it will show up: ~ Possibly from cub training as it could be something thats rare and damage happened to the ear. ~ Possibly from sparing too when the king lion smacks the cub too hard on the head. How It'd work in game: It'd only appear with a rare chance in litters of 2-4 cubs since it requires siblings to effect the cub for the flop ear and has no other mutation since it cannot and shouldn't overlap. How its different from real lion prides: In a real pride theres around on adverage 5 lionesses that makes a pride. Most will have cubs so they all would interact with each other which can easily effect the cub causing the flop ear. Another way the Flop ear could appear is when the adult lions get too aggressive when feeding on a carcass/buffalo and the ear is damaged too. Its another known way it could happen. In Lioden we have unnaturally big prides. You would never see a pride of 40 lions and we never see interactions of the cubs even lionesses. Only interaction the lionesses have are hunting together but thats the most that can happen. It'd be pretty unfair if the cub is suddenly have the flop ear caused by the other cubs in the den/pride. That is why it should stick to being based by litter size and if its caused Sourced from a real cub thats still alive in duma :) as seen on SafariLive. The Floppy ear cub has been seen by other siblings chewing on that exact ear so its most likely been caused by her siblings. If you don't support it please tell me why! |

Not sure about having to have siblings fully, as that makes it seem as if no other cubs/lions would be playing with them. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Well lets put it into a few facts about real lion prides. We have unnaturally big prides on Lioden. They would never happen in the wild. A typical pride would have say 5 females. But since that isnt the case here. I think the Floppy ear would make most sense if its based on the litter with its own percentage of happening. it wouldn't be a fair gameplay effect if it counts every cub in a den XD. 0 players like this post! I could possibly happen during cub training? They interact there too 0 players like this post! Like? |

That's a good point. I don't really look over in the cub training direction that often. I should then. I'll add in this as an possible idea. Thank you :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't recall if sparing starts when they are first born or after a certain age. I'll add it in too as a possible idea. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Partial support. It definitely seems as a cool idea, but I'd prefer to have it counted as a scar acquired at random (like anklebiter) that you could then apply to your lions. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't think it'd work like a scar because scars are pretty much decor. Floppy ear would be literally replacing the ear which would require a edit to the line art I believe as it much more drastic change as it sits between something like a normal ear and the folded ear. So I don't think it would work as a scar. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think it's too much like Folded Ears mutation, but it would be cute to maybe get a "single" folded ear mutation x3 0 players like this post! Like? |

i think it'll be cool to be able to get some 'mutations' from things that happen in the pride. like fighting with your cub and it gets floppy ears would be cool! 0 players like this post! Like? |

I can definitely see this being some kind of "scar" item that one could earn. In my opinion, it would work more like a scar considering mutations are more into genetics and all that blah I hate describing. XD While this can be acquired via cub training or roughhousing between siblings, thus damaging cartilage in the ear, therefore I see it being a scar. But if we are talking another floppy ear mutation then I'd say no, as its too closely related to our current Floppy Ears mutation. 0 players like this post! Like?
