This is an RP based on the role playing I did on FeralHeart back in its hay day.
-The Shinali Lions live on the low mountains, where the air and wind are chilly, and the grass is sparse and littered with stones and boulders. They sometimes get snow when the weather is particularly cold during the winter months. Hunting is good, and their bellies stay full on mountain creatures such as wild goats and antelopes.
-Rated PG-13 (Cursing is allowed sparingly, but no eff-bombs. Nothing incredibly sexual or too gore-ish.)
-Try to post at least one paragraph, but I understand sometimes short posts happen!
-Semi literate to literate.
-Realistic to semi realistic lion character designs are allowed.
-Mates are allowed, and they can either be permanent or passing flings. Your choice.
-No cub drama, and by that I mean don't have your cub character breaking limbs, falling off cliffs, getting bit by snakes, or running away every five seconds. That gets old fast. Legitimate cub drama will be allowed if it ties into the RP.
-Obviously some amounts of drama make for a good RP, but don't go crazy with it.
-Most importantly, have fun!

"I wouldn't know; I was just born there," Jaromir laughed shortly, a cheerful barking sound. They were keeping a smart pace, the scent of their buried hunt growing stronger as they headed upwind from it. "It wasn't like those jungle islands you hear about. It was just a hilly beach with tall grass up until the pride flattened it out under their paws. Only two trees we knew of, and one on each side of the island. We stayed under the one on the east side, and the west was where we buried our dead." He shivered slightly, though if it were from a sudden chill breeze or the haunting memory, he couldn't tell.
He glanced at Zavier, raising an eyebrow as he observed her suddenly odd behavior, "You alright?" he asked her.

"I'm fine," Zavier grumbled, banner lashing and paw-steps heavy. She wandered into the secluded clearing, the one that stowed away their kill. She set right quick to digging, claws gripping and throwing back chunks of frosted dirt and hair. She worked her jaws around the forelegs of the great beast; it hadn't begun decaying yet because of the low temperatures. Thank the skies for that. She pulled with all of her strength but it just..she couldn't. Everything felt as if it were on fire. She sat back on her haunches, hunched over.

Jaromir padded up behind her.
"Here," he said softly, knowing it would be pointless to ask again if she were alright or not. She was stubborn, but most lionesses tended to be, and he was used to it. He lowered his huge head and gripped the hind leg of their buried kill, yanking it from its hole and onto level ground. He jerked his head and motioned to Zavier to follow him as he dragged the stiff body across the grass and pebbles with ease.
They made it back to their cave just before sundown. Jaromir pulled the carcass into the very back of it, pressing it up against the stone walls as close as he could to save room. He surveyed his work with satisfaction before turning around and sitting beside Zavier just within the entrance. He remained silent, looking off into the distance, waiting to see if she would speak or not.

Zavier savored Jaromir's scent as it entered the surrounding air. Years of isolation tended to change an individual in many different ways and she'd learned to accept that this might not last. She hoped it would. Starting a pride was certainly something she wouldn't want to lose. Stop thinking like that, she scolded herself.
"I always liked te think that them stars up above were just wee memories, little whispers in the dark. A mere reminder of who was here before us and who was beside us until the end," She remarked meekly, drowsiness fumbling her words slightly.

Jaromir flicked his tail, and he felt it brush against her lower flank lightly. He looked up at the sky, brilliantly speckled with bright starlight. It felt so much clearer up here where the air tasted crisp with the chill. His eyes flicked to Zavier for a moment. She looked lovely, albeit exhausted from the combined events of the past two days. His eyes softened with concern for his sole pridemate.
"You're tired," he murmured, though his voice was firm. "We've done a lot the past few days, and you need sleep in a proper resting place. Go inside and get warm; I'll stay in the entrance tonight and keep a light guard over the place until I can finish my own nest tomorrow, eh?"

"Aye," she nodded gratefully and stepped passed him with a small smile. She glanced sideways at his mane and pelt, just a wee bit ruffled from the delicate breezes. Zavier was careful not to step on his tail as she melted into the den, becoming nothing more than a scented memory. She collapsed onto her pile of severed grass and moss, providing more than a simple good night's rest. The drained cat welcomed Sleep with open paws, and together they stole away into the land of the dark with Night's dazzling cloak blanketing them.

Jaromir sat outside the cave entrance for awhile, watching the moon slowly inch her way across the sky. Full moon's bring hope and life; at least that's what he was taught as a cub. Seemed fitting anyway, considering what all he and Zavier had chosen to do and had accomplished within the past two days. Not bad for two lonely lions.
He flicked his ear, hearing Zavier breathing heavily behind him. She was deeply asleep. He ruffled his mane around his shoulders, warding off the chilly night air, before turning around and padding softly inside. His nest wasn't quite finished yet, and was merely a pile of grass stacked close to Zavier's. Rather than risk waking her, he carefully flattened the pile to his liking and climbed on top of it, his body stretched mere inches from hers; close enough to feel their combined body heat take away some of the chill inside the cave. He laid his chin quietly on his paws and half-closed his eyes drowsily.

(Hello! I just recently joined and finished my form. Before I came here I made sure that I messaged McChip before hitting into the RP myself! So glad to be here.)

Snow white mitts would graze the mountainous terrain, claws emitting a clicking sound as they made contact with things such as pebbles/rocks, and dirt. Ice blue orbs would scan the horizon as Kaluwa stood there, taking in the scenery as the wind whipped through her short hairs and chilled her right to the bone once making contact with her skin. Winter was on it's way. Sniffing the air, a bit of water would form in the corners of her lips. There was so much game in the area, and she didn't know where to start!
Climbing down the mountain side, Kaluwa kept herself at a steady trot, for she did not want to slide down the mountain side that she was currently exploring. Raising her nose to the air, she would get again sniff the air, making sure she was correct on the prey limit but also on the lack of predators around, and to the lionesses relief there wasn't a single sign of predator activity tonight.

(Sorry that it's short, heading off to bed because of the long day I have tomorrow!)

(Aye, lass. Yer quite fine, I post the shortest since I run out of ideas faster than ye blink.. e.e Glad te see that yer on now! I hope yer day goes as planned once it arrives. ^^)

Zavier was sprawled across the floor in an awkward position, so much so that ye could've called her a very furry pretzel. She hadn't yet awakened as the early Sun spilled into the den like a broken dam that had lost it's hold on the river inside. She rolled onto her back, seemingly ready to hug whatever was to pass her by, with forearms open and her lower half flat on the floor. Her mouth was partially parted, with rounded ears either bent or squished beneath her big head and her slightly hanging tongue. Whoever saw her in this embarrassing state probably would've laughed at her, maybe perhaps earning them a rough slap to the face if she were to wake. The scene proved that not even the cold clutches of winter could keep her still.

The morning sun glared directly into Jaromir's face. He cracked open an eye, only to groan and slide a paw up over his face to block out the bright rays. He shifted his head on his paws to face Zavier, and his suddenly had to bite down on his bottom lip when he saw the comical pose she was still fast asleep in. He slowly got to his paws, doing his best not to disturb her; he had never seen her so completely at peace. He padded over to the entrance of their cave and sat down on his haunches with a thump, looking outside, still squinting somewhat drowsily. A few small herds of mountain goats grazed in the distance, confident that any big predators would be asleep in the mid-morning hours. Jaromir blinked, wondering if he should eat today or not, but shrugged the passing thought off. He glanced over at Zavier again, who had rolled back over and was asleep on her side, her frame stretched luxuriously out. He chest thumped for a moment, and he cleared his throat softly to himself as heat rushed to his cheeks. He returned his gaze to the outside world quickly.

The big cat's chest looked as if it were collapsing whenever she exhaled due to the fact that an open mouth was a wee bit harder for four legged mammalians such as herself. Wider passage-way meant air could leave the lungs in larger quantities before her throat finally got so dry that it was practically sticking to itself. Zavier awoke choking on air, tongue swiping over her jowls to help relieve herself of the awful feeling. She started to stretch, spine arched and legs spread. Somewhere along her neck came a loud pop . How fun. The lioness lugged herself into the sunlight, sending an array of dappled oranges, browns, grays, and yellow dancing along her pelage. She collapsed beside Jaromir's masculine body with a lazy yawn. She rest her cranium on her 'hands', audits relaxed and her chilly gaze a little unsteady. Why'd the sun have to rise so...early? Winter was s'pposed to bring longer nights, not an extra vamped fireball. She pondered on this for a while longer, coming to the conclusion that is was of their location and altitude.

Jaromir felt his muscles jump in his thigh as Zavier plopped against him. He looked down, creamy locks falling into his eyes. "Well," he smirked slightly. "Good morning to you, too." He dodged a lazy swipe from her paw aimed directly for his grinning muzzle. He chuckled deep within his chest, a warm, pleasant sound. Two rams in the distance clacked skulls as they tested their strength, the sound echoing across the open mountainside. "Guess we could finish the nests at some point today," he said after a small stretch of silence. However, instead of getting up to continue their little project, he laid down beside her, their sides and forelimbs touching, and he continued to gaze outside, relaxing.

Zavier dare steal a glance at Jaromir. She hadn't actually remembered seeing him in so much detail., and what a sight he was. How'd she git so lucky?
"We'll git 'round to it at some point...We should do this more often," Zavier commented casually after the brute had spoken. She was at a loss for words but she at least tries to be honest. She enjoyed the extra comfort and the warmth Jaromir brought whenever they were close, but those little moments were what she loved most and they didn't always last. Zavier closed her eyes in quiet contemplation. The nests should be done but it was still early in the day and Zavier didn't really feel like doing anything at the moment. Guess it was just one of those lazy days.
