Daisy giggled at his nervous walking. Her tail wagged around as she stood up and followed him closely by, she had a wide smile and an energetic pace. "Glad to help" Her voice was gentle, so were her eyes and she had a soft smirk around her face. "Race ya to the clearing!" Daisy playfully nudged his shoulder before she started running, her breath drawing cold smoke shapes and her paws shook and dug small patches of snow in the field. She laughed looking at the males as he looked at her run. Her red fur was starting to gather up little snowflakes, that when her paws made contact with the ground they jump around and get lost in the wind.

Sola watched as everyone conversed and did their things about the camp. Even after her time here she still felt a little... Detatched. Call it instinct, call it her past, or call it what you please but... She just didn't feel like she was important. Intelligence told her that she was, she was part of the pack, but she still wondered more often then not if anyone would have noticed if she just... Slipped away. But this was home, and when the winter came at the rabbits became scarce it was easier to hunt the deer and elk that remained.

She rolled over in the hollow she had dug beath the tree roots, the cool earth heavenly against her fur. She did prefer winter after all, and couldn't wait for it. It was more challenging. You couldn't blunder about and find a rabbit, you had to use all your senses to their fullest capacity!

She rolled back over and exited the den, eying each individual. Rabbitsfoot and Daisy were frolicing about, wastefull if you asked her. Energy was better spent on survival, not play. Maybe she should hunt, but the thought of eating made her nauseous. Scouting? Maybe. The pack would move soon, everyone could feel it, no one would admit it. Groaning she flopped down again, rolling onto her back.

Rabbitsfoot stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds before his brain finally reacted to the, per say, 'competition', the small canine growled softly, leaping into a sprint after the other omega. ''I BET ON TWO FILTHY BADGERS I'LL WIN!!'' The young wolf exclaimed, panting softly in between words, he managed to catch up to Daisy, but he was in her dust. You'd think a wolf specifically named 'Rabbitsfoot' would be fast and agile, well, did you? He started to pick up the pace, being neck-to-neck with the fellow omega. The male started panting harder as he was slightly overheating from the constant repeating action. The omega leaped over every little obstacle like a very small branch, thinking that leaping would be faster; It was actually more energy for less outcome. Well, that was unlucky. Being almost-beaten by a female. At least to every other male.

Sitka | Male | Juvenile | 1 year 9 months

Sitka nods to the larger male and picks up his rabbit once again, brining it to whatever kill pile the pack had made from excess food and dropping it among the other dead prey. Glancing around he notices two much older wolves talking, then suddenly bounding off in some sort of race. Walking around for a little bit he notices another wolf that he hadn't seen very often since he got to the pack. Sola? was her name if Sitka had remembered correctly. The dark colored she wolf rolled over onto her back as he stalked closer, aiming for the tail. Dipping into some brush he peered and waited, making his move when the tail stopped dead. Pouncing with his strong back legs, Sitka propels himself through the brush and lands by her tail, his two front paws trapping it like a kitten would do with their mother's tails when they play. But the young wolf didn't have play in his mind, this was easy training for hunting smaller prey.

He smiled and nodded back, watching the juvenile run off and then he stood up. Looking around, he wondered where in the world Kaianai had gone.. he needed to talk to her about what to do about the lack of prey. But, he would see her around later so, he wasn't too busy. He walked towards the forest and left the camp, going for a walk and wondering to himself what should be done. He worried for his pack.. he wanted to make sure he made the right decision before everything was put into motion. He kept walking, seeing a few rabbits and small prey, he watched the birds fly overhead but, he didnt see any big prey as Sitka had said. Sighing, he wondered if they really should move earlier than expected..

Kainai sees Shadow from a distance and starts walking a bit faster. "Shadow!" She calls out, making her way towards the alpha. As she approaches him, she bows her head a bit in apology. "Sorry, I had stepped out of camp for a bit." She says, her ears lowering. She looks into the woods and sighs. "Prey seems to be getting scarce." Her voice carries a bit of worry as her eyes gaze into the woods. "On my walk through the wood I couldn't catch even the smallest scent of elk." She muttered, looking down at her paws.

The dark furred wolf got onto his feet and sniffed the air, trying to catch the scent of something worth hunting. He shakes his head in disappointment and decides to walk to the other parts of the packs camp. He notices all the commotion and tucks his tail between his legs instinctively. He knows his pack members won't harm him, but at this point it's become a bad habit. He notices the empty feeling in his stomach and walks to the kill pile.

He was taken by surprise as his name was called all of a sudden as he was walking, he stopped and turned to see Kainai walk up to him and he smiled. He looked happy to see her, "yea... I am afraid we may have to leave earlier this year for our fall spot.." he said with a sigh. Looking towards the sky, he wondered if they would make it to the fall either... he looked around once again and wondered where all the big prey is. He was worried and didn't know when they should get going or if they should go yet at all...

Kainai nods and glances upwards. "Let's send out a group of wolves to check. If nothing is found, we should start the move in a few days." She says a bit confidently. "Hopefully everyone will be ready." She sighs and looks down at her paws. She couldn't help thinking about her mate. She knew he never did well with moving between the territories. She scolded herself in her thoughts and reminded herself that her duties weren't only to the small wolf, but to the entire pack. She couldn't let the weight fall onto her fellow alpha's shoulders.

"Our fall spot might have just as little prey.. or none at all.. I fear for the worst, yet I hope.. I cannot truly tell at this point what is good to do and what is not.." he said with a sigh. He truly doubted that their fall spot would have lots of food now.. it was still summer in the air. He feared that their pack would not make it to the fall at this rate.. if they managed to make it, would they make it to winter? Everything was racing through his mind, even though Kainai's suggestion was a good one, he didn't want to move if they didn't have to..

Titus raised a nonexisting bow, eyes follow the two young wolves as they begin to chase one another across the earth. He snorted, shaking his head. He was quite jealous of their playful nature. With a flick of his tail, Titus moved a bit closer towards the center. His ears perked forward as others around him spoke in either hush tones or worried voices. It seems he wasn't the only one to find the prey population decreasing. His dark eyes flicker to the two alphas that looked to be in deep conversation. The male wolf wondered briefly what they were uttering about. It wasn't his business he was after all just an omega, but he had to report the rabbits disappeared from their usual warrens. Strolling over to the two, he stayed a couple feet away. He took a seat waiting patiently for them to finish their conversation.

He had already been hunting and caught a good amount of prey, but he still felt that his stance was off and wanted to pick an easy target to practice on "I was just practicing my stance and pounce."

"You don't just keep doing the same thing over and over do you? Everyone needs a change once in a while."

You have to rely on teamwork and stamina to take deer down." she met his gaze. "Rabits are fine and dandy, but they don't keep pups alive through a winter." Not when they hibernated. She judged the age difference between them, about two seasons worth. Was he hunting this past winter?
