Due to popular demand, I've decided to turn an initial idea for a 1x1 into a full-fledged RP anyone can join! Based on an RP I did in FeralHeart back in the day, we'll follow Kanut (Kah-noo) as he journeys from his homeland into the wintry setting of his new home, struggles to begin a new clan of fellow saber-toothed cats, and seeks revenge against the dire wolf pack who slaughtered his birth clan and family. -Rated M -Characters need Inuit names. Google is packed with them! -Literate writing skills are a must, but you don't have to type a novel with every post. Everyone gets writer's block! -Please post a character sheet so we can all see how pretty you are! Doesn't have to be super detailed and fancy if you don't want it to be! -When cubs come into the story, pleeeeease refrain from useless cub drama: By this, I mean the old cliches. Don't go breaking limbs from a small trip, don't go running away every five minutes, don't be bitten by anything venomous, you get the drill. Cubs are cubs, not ticking time-bombs of premature death. -Following that, mates are allowed, both permanent and temporary. -No Mary Sue's here. No one is a god in battle. Please ask permission, though, before going out and crippling or killing anyone's character. -Due to the RP getting so big so quickly, I ask for everyone to just stick with one character for now to keep things organized. -The Mortla Clan (once it becomes officially established in RP) will reside in a rocky cave in the mountains behind a frozen waterfall, so keep the environment in mind! -Have fun! -With the nudge from Sesi, Densa returned with a gebtle nibblenof her ear. He then looked to the male- "Nice meet you too, Uukkarnit" -Densa listened to Sesi's offer an agreed silently with a smile and nod. His own copper browb fur gradually growing a little darker with the snow melting into his body heat. Osha would follow close behind Kanut as they exited the cave. "Rams. That would explain the sounds I headed earlier, couldn't quite figure out what it was. " Osha had only ever seen rams a couple times in her life, as they tended to stick close to the mountains. "There is bound the be other caves, it would be wise to search for one while we are up here" she would agree. Osha would follow as they made their way up the Mountian, soon coming across a herd. There were a handful of young males sparing each other, while females were spread out. Eyes would immediately begin to scan for any that were visibly sick or injured. Kanut nodded, and he began to pad off to their right while Osha followed suite to the left. Scattered boulders that had rolled down the mountain over the years proved to be effective hiding spots as the two sabers creeped ever closer. One young ram had received a dizzying blow from his sparring partner and had been sent sprawling backwards, tumbling in a dusty cloud until he rolled right at the paws of Kanut, his mouth agape and sneering with a predator's glee. Easy pickings. The ram didn't even have the chance to properly let out a bugle of panic before the mighty jaws closed on his neck, snapping his spine like a twig. Kanut dragged the carcass swiftly behind the boulder, turning to see how Osha was fairing. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Osha move to the left as Kanut moved around to the right. Boulders would conceal the bulk of her body as she watched two young males spar. Their heads clashed together with a resounding thunder. The older of the two rams was clearly winning the battle, leaving the younger one dazed and confused. As the other ram moved away, Osha would spring from her hiding spot snatching the younger ram within her jaws. Her enlarged canines would make quick work of severing it's spine. Quietly she would once more move back to their original position hoping to meet back up with Kanut and his own ram. She would gently seething down her prey, haunches lowering and awaited the return of her male counterpart. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kanut picked up his own kill as easily as if it were nothing more than a scrap of fur, trotting over to Osha and dropping it at his feet. "Two it is, then," he said, pleased with their quick and relatively easy prizes. "Let's get them back to--" he suddenly stopped mid-sentence, his nostrils quivering as he look upwind. His ears swiveled forward, straining to catch any sounds that were out of the ordinary. "Do you smell that?" he asked Osha hurriedly. "Do you hear the quiet?" He turned to look at her. "We're not alone out here." As quick as he could he snatched up the two ram bodies and sprung upwards, laying them out on top of a high boulder to assure they would still be there when they returned. He landed on his feet with a dull thud, gesturing to Osha. "Quickly. We may be in luck and find more sabers if we don't dawdle." 0 players like this post! Like? |

There was a loud yowl that echoed through the silent air as the dark colored saber was surrounded by Dire wolves just over the mountains where a valley was made. Jaws snapped at her with viscous barks and growls. Auka yowled and hissed, her large jaws parted as she lunged at one and snapped her jaws around their neck, her canines cutting through the thick pelt. As if a command, the others pounced on her and snapped at her. Auka dropped the limp Dire and roared and yowled in pain, slamming her body side to side against rocks to try an get the annoying animals off. "Stupid mutts." She hissed as she finally got the last one off, seeing as most retreated. The wind started to pick up, brushing through her wavy fur and sent her smell and the smell of Dire blood off in the blowing direction. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kanut prowled forward through the snow at a smart pace, Osha following behind him. The brute's eyes were narrowed as they trudged onward, following the mysterious yet familiar scent that wafted downwind. A few snow flurries struck at his face, and he grunted. "Darkness is coming, and fast," he muttered. "We need to make this quick, whatever it is. I don't want us caught in a blizzard, let alone blind in the dark during one." He paused to sniff the air, bristling with a deep growl when another familiar scent caught his attention. "Dire wolves," he snapped. He lunged forward, sending up a spray of snow as he crashed through the icy crust on the surface. They sped to the peak of a small hill, and with a roar Kanut breached the top, snow flying behind him as he leaped forward, claws splayed, his maw open with malice. However, he skidded to a stop once his paws hit the ground, staring at the body before him. It was a dead wolf. Blood spray splattered visibly in the whiteness around them, and several dozen sets of tracks could be seen arriving and leaving the scene that surrounded a single female saber. "Well," Kanut said, looking at her and turning to Osha, looking over his shoulder. "Seems that we've found another lost cat." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Osha would power through the snow behind Kanut. Heart would begin to race as a familiar scent would waft into her nostrils. A low growl would echo within her chest. Eyes landing upon the dead wolf upon the ground before meeting the female saber. "Are you alright?" concern would fill Osha's voice as she looked over the other female. She would carefully approach her, trying the look over any wounds she would have received from the horrible canids. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With a low growl, she turned to head up the mountain when snow sprayed over her. Auka jumped back and snarled in surprise just to see two sabers. Her ears flattened to her skull as her eyes narrowed. It wasn't easy for her to trust a random saber alone. She remained quiet as her muscles rippled under her coat. "I'm fine..." She grumbled as blood damped her coat and dying the snow bright red with each drop. Her barbed tongue ran over her chomps as she cleaned off the blood. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aguta listened to them, then smile appeared as she heard that she was able to choose. "I think that it would be great to have you with us, the more the better," she said as a small purr came from her. She was glad that the others agreed, almost to the point of where she forgot about the other male. Sesi / 2 years old / Rogue / Mentions: Densa, Aelia, Aguta, Uukkarnit She giggles lightly, pawing at Densa's face after the brute nibbled her ear. It actually tickled. She quickly straightens up under the strangers gaze. Can't have her looking like a fool. Pleased with Aguta, she nodded. "Then that settles it. Now let's find some cover it's freezing." A shiver ran up her spine tickling her skin. "Imma freeze my tail off if this keeps up," Sesi mutters under her breath, moving ahead. She was growing impatient, unable to stay still for more than a minute. The scared female looked over her shoulder at the male named Aelia. A thoughtful expression graces her soft features. "You coming?" She called rounded ears perked forward. She couldn't just leave him behind. The guilt would gnaw at her for days on end. Sabers had to stick together. Besides, everyone deserves a second chance. Sesi lived by these words. Her nose twitched, scrunching up a bit as flurries landed perfectly on top of her nose. Aelia perked his ears up. "Sure, just don't bother me." His face softened as he watched the female shake her small head form the snow. Aguta stood and eyed the male, then followed close behind Sesi. 'Hopefully she's doing the right thing,' she thought as she looked back at Aelia. Snorting lightly she faced forward again, trying to keep up with Sesi. "Sure is freezing," she muttered as she lowered her gaze, hoping that the sentence didn't seem too dull.
