Cheetahpounce stood up eagerly as Stormcloud approached, trotting on the spot in a sort-of dance as he struggled to contain his excitement. He probably looked like even more of a kit than Turtlepaw did, but he couldn't care less; this boundless energy just came to him naturally. "Of course! The more the merrier, right?" he purred, only happy to accept another hunting buddy. He glanced to Hollyflight as she considered joining, and hoped she would- it had been some time since he'd hunted with anybody, let alone a group, as usually he was so talkative and joyful most of the prey would leave before they even caught a scent.

Sunstar|Leader|5(6)Lives|Mentions: Earthquake, Flamestorm

Sunstar came stumbling into the entrance of camp, landing at Earthquake's feet. Blood was dripping from the side of his pelt, and one of his claws had been ripped out.
"Earthquake.."
He passed out, unconscious.

"Wake up, Sunstar."
Sunstar opened his eyes, seeing the familiar place of Starclan. Houndstar stood above him, looking like he was trying to hold his temper.
"You left us.. For what? To try and find someone who you knew was dead?"
Sunstar was up in an instance, hissing at the leader. "You can't tell me what to do with my life. Starclan will never be able to control my destiny. I don't need you."
Houndstar got up in his face, and he was awfully calm.
"You sure do have it handled. Nearly getting yourself killed walking into a rogue camp. We've been here for you this whole time, and you still don't trust us. Now, you've decided that you don't need our help."
He gives a long sigh, and Sunstar drops his gaze, feeling ashamed at what he said.
"Sunstar of Thunderclan, you have been banished from visiting your ancestors. Hopefully your leading will work out as successful as you wish."
Sunstar felt a burning in his skull, which then moved to his whole body. He screamed as his vision went black.

A purr rose from Stormcloud's throat as Hollyflight mentioned their kits. "I can't believe I'm going to be a father!" He thought glancing at Hollyflight once more. "And I have the most beautiful mate." When Cheetahpounce accepted their offer to hunt with him and the apprentice, Stormcloud lifted his chin. "So where should we hunt?"

Hollyflight purred along with Stormcloud and gazed at her mate affectionately. "It'll be a while yet though." She reminded him, puffing up her chest proudly. "I think I'm the one with the most beautiful mate." She claimed. She turned to look at Cheetahpounce, awaiting his reply when she suddenly heard rustling near the camp entrance. Glancing over her shoulder to look, she was shocked to see a bloodied Sunstar at Earthquake's feet. She widened her eyes at the sight and remained frozen in her spot for a couple of heartbeats before she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Opening them again, she carefully turned from her own little group and padded towards Sunstar, Flamestorm and Earthquake.

"I'm not sure..." Cheetahpounce responded, pondering over a mental image of the ThunderClan territory. Usually when hunting he just went wherever felt best for him, and wandered until he had caught as much as he could carry back. "Do you know anywhere particularly good? You have more experience than me, after all". He paused with an eager expression before he saw Hollyflight move from the corner of his eye, and he turned to look at her before seeing the frightful scene that lay just beyond the group: Sunstar's mangled body. His energy and joy seemed to visibly drain from his face, and he froze up on the spot, barely able to mumble "Wh... what happened"?

"Sunstar?" Earthquake jumped back in surprise as said tom flopped at his feet. He gasped, iron rich blood filling his maw. He sat in silent disbelief, Sunstar had been through so much, he couldn't imagine what was still going on in his head as he endured curse after relentless curse.
Grunting with the effort, he lifted Sunstar from the middle, his unconscious body hanging from his side. He noticed now Sunstar was a lot lighter, he looked like he was starving... He sighed solemnly as he trudged to the medicine den.

Stormberry opened his eyes and woke up from his nap once he heard the commotion occurring outside, quickly getting to his paws and making his way outside the warriors' den to see what all the fuss was about. He got slightly taken aback by the sight that greeted him - one glimpse of the fallen Sunstar was enough to rouse him from his drowsiness. He quickly made his way over to stand with Cheetahpounce, Turtlepaw, Hollyflight and Stormcloud, his fur puffed up in surprise. "Do you know what happened?" He asked Cheetahpounce, his former apprentice and a cat he had a strong friendship with, but also looked around to the other cats, and found that they seemed just as shocked as he was.

Cheetahpounce's ear twitched as he sensed movement from behind him, and he just managed to tear himself away from watching Sunstar get carried off to glance back. It was Stormberry, his closest friend and former mentor, and he looked just as shocked as Cheetahpounce probably did as he approached to join him and the other cats. "I haven't a clue." he answered to Stormberry's question, looking once more at the scene that unfolded before them. "He just... stumbled in and collapsed. No idea where he's been, but whoever- no, whatever did all that damage needs to be found and dealt with". Cheetahpounce wasn't a fighting cat, he knew that for certain, but there was no denying that if any other cat had been attacked instead of a leader, they would almost certainly be dead.

Flamestorm could help but smile as Earthquake encouraged Swallowpaw as well, her chest bursting with pride for the pair of them. Somehow it all just made her think of her late father, and the joy he must have felt with her mother and her as his apprentice. Her ears would perk towards Earthquake as the tom headed for the nursery, already starting to work on a nest for her. Her cheeks were flushed as she gave a small chuckle. "Already trying to get me out of your nest in the warrior's den?" She'd tease. She was about to inspect the nest herself when Sunstar collapsed near the pair, her heart sinking in her chest. "Sunstar? Sunstar!" She'd mew, nudging him gently onto Earthquake's back as he lifted their leader up. She'd pad after him to make sure he didn't fall off on the way to the medicine den.

Dewpaw shook his head lightly. "Like I told you before Foxpaw, doesn't sound all too familiar to me. And you know its not a bad thing if its starclan. Maybe its an ancestor of yours watching out for you?" He'd muse, flicking his tail, he'd move to sit down but upon catching the heavy scent of blood he'd stop in his tracks. "Oh sweet silverpelt keep my sanity intact," He'd mutter under his breath as he quickly went to gather cobwebs, poppy seeds, and a bit of goldenrod if he could find it quickly enough.

Swallowpaw beamed when Flamestorm praised her. She smiled at Earthquake too, trying to appear composed, but her swishing tail gave away her excitement. Her pelt turned cold however when she saw Sunstar stumble into camp. It felt like a cold paw was squeezing her chest. "Sunstar!" She shrieked. Swallowpaw trailed behind Flamestorm and Earthquake as they carried Sunstar to the medicine den. Swallowpaw shook her head and tried to swallow the tight feeling in her chest.
